The assertion that you believe Pacquiao was giving his best performance of the 4 fights in that 4th fight goes to show just how good Marquez really was in the first 3. In case some of you have forgotten, Marquez was ahead on the scorecards at the time of Pacquiao getting put to sleep, what does that say that some of you thought that fight was Pacquiao's best performance? ........and I'll note that yes, Pacquiao was consistently better at hitting Marquez with cleaner punches in that 4th fight than he did on the previous three fights, but analyzing as to why that was you have to factor in that Marquez as depicted in HBO's 24/7 leading up to that last fight, their footage showed Marquez emphasizing being explosive against Pacqiuao. In training for that 4th fight vs Pacquiao, Marquez had knocked out a sparring partner with the same counter "EXPLOSIVE" right hand that put Pacquiao to sleep. For those that dont know the intracacies of boxing which is the case with alot of Ptards, if you plan and train to be explosive in a boxing match, you best believe that doing so makes you more vulnerable to eat shots yourself. In other words, Marquez allready knew going in he'd have to sacrifice some of his defense and combination punching in order that the fight not go to the scorecards again to get predictably screwed over once again.
In no particular order the 34 are as follows: 1. Muhammad Ali 2. Sugar Ray Robinson 3. Charley Burley 4. Joe Louis 5. Jack Johnson 6. Jack Dempsey 7. Larry Holmes 8. Evander Holyfield 9. Archie Moore 10. Michael Spinks 11. Ezzard Charles 12. Roy Jones 13. James Toney 14. Lennox Lewis 15. Marvin Hagler 16. Thomas Hearns 17. Sugar Ray Leonard 18. Wilfredo Benitez 19. Roberto Duran 20. Floyd Mayweather 21. Juan Manuel Marquez 22. Azumah Nelson my beloved Uncle 23. Dick Tiger of blessed memory 24. Julio Cesar Chavez Snr 25. Felix “El Tito” Trinidad 26. Salvador Sanchez 27. Wilfredo Gomez 28. Ike Williams 29. Benny Leonard 30. Sandy Saddler 31. Willie Pep 32. Beau Jack 33. Mike McCallum 34. Mike Tyson I am sure I might have missed a couple of people but all the above greater than Pacquiao. No. 35 in this company is nothing to sneeze at or be ashamed of
Marquez flat out lied to the media and said that he was working with a team of doctors to put on weight correctly to fight Pac, a guy who is actually a little smaller than him at any weight they've fought at. The only reason we knew Marquez was working with Memo was because Conte identified and outted him. Marquez clearly knew about Memo's expertise in PEDs and engaged him for his services. Marquez was so doped up that his HGH 8 pack was bursting through in a photo shoot where he wasn't even flexing. And then he refused VADA testing for the Bradley fight and showed up to the Alvarado fight with massive amounts of acne on his chest and back. Oh, and he literally knocked Alvarado halfway across the ring.
Will have to disagree with that list. I just can't see Pac being ranked as low as 35. He's considered as arguably the greatest Asian fighter ever and I think he's done enough to be considered Top 20 or higher at least. The things he was able to do and the fighters he's beaten is remarkable. He has a strong case to be ranked higher than Azumah Nelson, JMM, Tyson, McCallum, Spinks, Trinidad, Toney, Benitez, Tiger, Gomez, RJJ. But it's all subjective though.
I have told you were I rank him. His achievements are great no doubt but his 8 losses and the manner of them 3 knockout losses show his true standing.
Maybe but he got up and gave him hell. Marquez put him to sleep categorically and it was all she wrote.
This @Olu G. Rotimi is a bum he stalks Mayweather all over social media asking him for money hes a bonafide scrub.
