Shouldn't Marquez just accept a fight at 147 if he really wants it but just come in at 135? We've already seen Margarito come in at nearly 20 lbs heavier than Manny and that didn't matter.

Fans of mis-matches; bloodbaths, bodybags, or the SAW movies will love every minute of this fight if it ever comes to fruition.

It should be 140. JMM is no match for Manny at 147.

    Big no even at 140.

    JMM test 140 first.

"Styles Make fights" Oldest adage in the sport but true.
140lbs would be the best weight to make the best fight...
(But who's looking to make a Great fight these days?)

What's the difference between a 140 Pac and a 147 Pac? Weight will not matter, Marquez already figured out Pacquiao. Pacquiao will be the same one dimensional fighter, easy to get hit, can't fight backwards,etc,etc,etc..

Weight will be a major factor since JMM can't fight near 147. He will be too slow like in the Floyd fight. Thats why Roach and everybody in Pac Land want this fight at 147, if it ever happens.

If he comes in that weight, Manny squashes him. He'll over power him.

    1. Marquez gave Pacquiao all he could handle in their two fights. Some fell that he even beat Pacquiao in at least one of their two fights. If not both.
    2. There is no real diffrance in size. Marquez is a half inch taller. They have the same reach.
    3. The Mayweather fight is no way to gauge Marquez as a Welterweight. Mayweather is just better than Marquez (Pacquiao as well).
Marquez is not the first lightweight to make the jump to welterweight you also can;t blame his loss to Mayweather on that.
    4. I would be ok with a catchweight as long as no championships are on the line. assumeing that Pacquiao beats Mosley he would still be the WBO champion at 147.

I don't see this bout being any diffrant from their previous 2 fights. As far as the result goes it depends on the judges. A split verdict would not surprise me at all. I would not expect either man to wind up with more than a 8-4 advantage.

I agree completely. This fight will come down to the styles.

Diaz fight whom Paulie beat soundly. Katsidis fight, who is far worse than Margarito on defense, able to knock him down.
