    fr. the 'scene:

The trilogy fight between JMM and Pacquiao produced fireworks in the ring and generated a huge buyrate number on HBO pay-per-view. TR pres. Todd duBoef is hoping to have the final number drop around 1.4 million homes, which is Pacquiao's highest pay-per-view number to date.

"I don't have the exact number, but I can tell you that it's the best pay-per-view that Manny has had in his history. We are talking about [a number] that exceeds 1.3 million homes. We are hoping for it to be 1.4 million homes. Obviously [the fight] was greatly influenced by Juan Manuel Marquez because we understand that Latinos have a strong base in the United States and they buy the fights," said DuBoef.

I was telling people a while back that Pacquiao fighting Marquez would sell more than Mosley and that's why he shouldn't have fought Mosley last May

Still no official numbers, what about them Mosley numbers while we are at it..... wasn't that fight supposed to do 1.3, but still no conformation from Networks, and people have the nerve to believe what Arum says about JMM 3 fight.

If the numbers were true Arum would run to the media and flaunt them everywhere seeing as they shift the balance of power back on TR side for future Floyd negotiations.

No wonder Floyd wants to fight Pac now, on top of Pac's not so great performance against JMM, Floyd is losing his PPV king status.

Pac-Mosley was showtime, I dont think they release ppv numbers on the regular as HBO does. I'm sure JMM-Pac numbers will come out soon, I'm guessing its in the region of 1.3-1.4mil.

You and I know that's bull****, I understand people like to defend Pac but they have to be logical at least some of the time, I mean how hard is it to count up how many people purchased a ppv, releasing numbers shouldn't take more than 5 days

Well TR released the numbers. Showtime in the past has not released PPV numbers so why would they start now? Stop hating. If you are that bothered about it, write to TR and Showtime and have Showtime go out the norm and released the numbers. That or find me PPV's from showtime the last 5 years where they have released the numbers and show me its out the norm for them NOT to release numbers.

HBO in the meantime went out of the norm and not released official numbers for Floyd-Ortiz...why dont you concentrate your efforts on that?

I dont believe anything until HBO releases official numbers.
No way this did 1.4 and no way Ortiz did 1.2. This economy and how unpopular southpaws are in the mainstream....

    no its not

it usually takes 10 days for the ppv numbers to come out

manny/margarito fought on nov 13th. the ppv numbers came out on nov 23th.

floyd/shane fought on may 1st. the ppv numbers came out on may 11th

all of the sudden its taking weeks for the numbers to come out.

    manny/shane, floyd/victor and manny/jmm

But Pac couldn't resist a Mayweather left over, and that one was fresh off a loss from May.
