Pacquiao shows a ton of improvement in this fight over their first encounter but still comes up short IMO. With close, competitive rounds like these, I could see it going either way. But the way I judge fights, I lean more towards Marquez here.

Pacquiao vs Marquez Quadrilogy Part 2

    Round 1
Mostly feeling each other out, jab probing and whatnot, few risks taken early. A lot of respect

between these two. Pacquiao landing the better punches, Marquez's body shot strayed a little

low, similar to the first fight.

    Pacquiao (Pac 10-9)

    Round 2
A little more feeling out but they're taking more risks. Difficult to score but I favor Pac in

this round... until the closing seconds Marquez took it. He wobbled Pac again and almost

    dropped him.

    Marquez (Draw 19-19)

    Round 3
Marquez's counter right continues to find a home. His patience, timing, sense of range, and

overall ring generalship is good. Then Pacquiao begins to find his range and drops Marquez with

a hard left on his chin!!

    Pacquiao (Pacquiao 29-27)

    Round 4
Pacquiao comes out aggressive against a Marquez reluctant to exchange after the knockdown.

Marquez fires a good combo but it has little effect as Pac backs up and parries. Pacquiao is

intelligently building on his momentum. Marquez lands a nice counter left hook. Pac is doing a

much better job at slipping Marquez's punches in this fight than he did in the first.

    Pacquiao (Pacquiao 39-36)

    Round 5
Very close round but looks to me like Marquez is getting the better of the exchanges. Could see

it either way but I favor Marquez in this round; he's much more effective.

    Marquez (Pacquiao 48-46)

    Round 6
So far Marquez is find a home for that right hand, Pacquiao lands a nice little 3 punch

combination. Beautiful left upper cut and a few counters from Marquez. Pac evades and throws a

nice counter left hook to the body. Competitive as usual but Marquez landed to better punches.

    Marquez (Pacquiao 57-56)

    Round 7
Pacquiao throws a nice 3 punch combo, upstairs, down, then up again. So far winning this round.

Another clash of heads... Marquez lands nice combo but then PAc comes back! We've got a nice

exchange with Pacquiao coming out on top IMO. Marquez lands a right hand, a left uppercut, then

Pac lands his punches. Good round for Pacquiao.

    Pacquiao (Pacquiao 67-65)

    Round 8
Marquez feints then throws a right hand and hurts Pac. He follows up with another right but

Pacquiao recovers quickly. Marquez has visibly hurt Pacquiao and backs him up multiple times.

Pac taps his gloves, comes back for more but eats more punches. Clear cut for Marquez IMO.

    Marquez (Pacquiao 76-75)

    Round 9
Not much to separate the two for the first minute, then Pacquiao lands a few good punches to

puncuate an exchange. Marquez and Pac go back and forth but Marquez lands Pac's kryptonite, the

right hand, on several occasions. Marquez backs Pac up but Pacquiao fires back and evens out

    that particular exchange. Close round.

    Marquez (Draw 85-85)

    Round 10
Pacquiao hurts Marquez and wobbles him to the ropes but can't capitolize on it enough. Pac

counters Marquez lunging in with a beautiful left hook. Pacquiao clearly has the upper hand in

    this round.

    Pacquiao (Pacquiao 95-94)

    Round 11
Head butt stalls the action, fairly even to this point. Pac has Marquez cornered but

intelligently backs off rather than falling for the bait. Marquez lands a nice right hand, then

a left uppercut, and another straight right. Pac answers back nicely. Close round again but I

    give Marquez the edge.

Marquez (Draw 104-104) Curiously like the first fight...

    Round 12
This is it. Marquez fires some nice combinations early, nothing too flashy but effective. Pac

throws a flurry and the two get caught in a clinch. Pacquiao seemingly getting the better of

the exchanges but it's highly debatable. Marquez answering Pac's flurries nicely, for every 2

punches Pac lands, Marquez responds with 1 hard counter right. Pacquiao finishes the round

better than Marquez does in the final exchanges.

    Marquez (Marquez 114-113)

Could see this either way, truly a competitive fight. But I had it Marquez 114-113!
