Pacquiao vs. Marquez: The correct scoreline

This is the correct scoreline.

JMM was unofficially 3-0 heading into KO6, which he was ironically losing untli that punch.

 

I've always felt Marquez narrowly won fight 2 and clearly won and got dicked in the 3rd fight

I think I last had pac win fight 1 but he lost more rounds

 

2-1-1 PAC.

 

2-1-1 for Marquez. He won 3 and 4 IMO, lost the second and I had the first a draw.

 

Been a long time since I scored any of them but I remember having Pacquiao eeking out wins in the first two & getting a gift in the third fight, so 2-2. Room to disagree on those first two fights at least, though.

I think I had the first fight for Pacquiao, second a draw, third one for marquez and the last one was the ko.

 

I have to say the last one is a little tainted for me due to marquez being roided to the gills. We all know it.
Even if you feel a guy got the robbed of a close decision 3 times it doesnt justify peds pr loaded gloves.

 

Just finished the third fight yesterday. I had Marquez winning that one, though it was reasonably close. Not a huge robbery. My take:

1. Pac, 114-113
2. Marquez, 114-113
3. Marquez, 115-113

All were tight, all had arguments either way. No real beef with any of the decisions. I do think the HBO crew nailed it in the commentary of the third fight when they said that Marquez allowing Pac to take the initiative somehow looks better to judges, but judges should know how to make an allowance for excellent counterpunching.

All 3 were very close. I thought the 2nd was the easiest to score, but I wouldn’t argue against 114-113 for Pacquiao.
