Marquez. Won 3 and 4, both more clearly than Pacquiao won 1 and 2, and both of them can argued for Marquez anyway

Yeah I always believed Marquez came out the better of them both but the obvious juicing for the last contest ruined it for me. I'm no longer a fan

Marquez's very obvious PED use casts a shadow over his KO win. Nonetheless, Marquez will always and forever be in Pac's shadow.

That's how I see it too. Also, KTFO is KTFO. People can talk about PEDs, but Manny is the one who put off proper drug testing in his fights for years.

Pac won it when they were at their bests. Just barely though and it's pretty much even. Marquez has the moral victory cause the last fight when they were past prime he ktfo Pac.

Like I've always stated, a Marquez that suddenly bulked up to look like a linebacker and suddenly developed KO power he didn't have before, using a nutrition coach that was busted for supplying other fighters with PEDS, casts a serious shadow in the 4th fight.

Otherwise, first fight was a legitimate draw (though it should have been stopped in the 1st round), Pac won the 2nd, and 3rd is up in the air.

In all 3 fights though, the only fighter that was ever visibility hurt from a punch and knocked down multiple times was Marquez. Then in the 4th fight he suddenly looks like he's about to play linebacker for the 49er's instead of a boxing match, knocks Pac down in the 3rd and then out, and that doesn't look suspicious? There was no VADA testing for this fight, and the fact Marquez hired Angel Heredia, who testified in court about PEDs he supplied to athletes and how he circumvented their testing, really casts alot of doubt in that "victory". Was Marquez that desperate for a win? Drinking his own **** didn't work for the 3rd fight so he tried the next best thing?

Marquez was the more deserving fighter over the four fights. In four attempts Manny didn't conclusively or clearly beat Marquez once, whereas I think Marquez won the third one clear as day, and of course knocked Pacquiao spark out in the fourth.

No way I could personally score the first fight to Pacquiao. I had Marquez two round up, but I could see a draw. So that was a fair enough decision, even if Lady Luck slightly favoured Pacquiao. The second fight was Pacquiao's best all-round performance against Marquez and the one time he wasn't made to look clueless or a clear second-best for prolonged periods. I had Pacquiao winning that 114-113 last time I watched it, but even then, it's still a fight that could go either way. So 1-0-1 for Manny at that stage was acceptable across the two fights - the fact that he got the luck on both occasions, rather than Marquez, probably made them seem worse or more contentious than they were.

But Pacquiao got a stone wall gift in the third fight, for me. Even a draw would have been a bit of a sickener for Marquez, but a Pacquiao win? Not a chance. The fourth fight speaks for itself, albeit I had Pacquiao two rounds up and on course to win the sixth round before the knockout came. But come it did.

Brilliant rivalry and I love their mesh of styles, but in my mind Marquez will always be at least 2-1-1 up against Manny. I could even see 3-1. You could argue that 3-1 to Marquez might have been ever so slightly harsh on Pacquiao, which is probably true, but I still think it would have been a fairer and more accurate reflection than the official 2-1-1 he has to his name. Pacquiao is the greater fighter but came off second best in this series in my mind. It happens.

Pac never beat JMM clearly and JMM holds the most decisive win of the 4 fights. JMM won the rivalry.

Saying Marquez won the rivalry cause he ko Pac in the 4th fight is like saying Hopkins and Roy Jones are even in their rivalry cause they each won a fight. Someone could make that case but I don't see it that way.

Pac and Jmm fought 3 times in their primes at their prime weights. A fight in 2012 at WW means very little in comparison.

Same people who discredit Pac's win over Morales in the 3rd fight will give credit to Marquez for his knockout of Pac.

Because Pac never beat him clearly alot of people had JMM beating Pac in 2 and 3 despite Pac getting the nod in those fights, he also was brutally KOEd in the final fight that's why.

1 and 2 are the most important fights of the rivalry legacy wise because it was prime for prime.

Yea Marquez got the only clear win, but Pac won the more important fight.

Leonard and Hearns are 1-1 of we are being real. But Leonard won the more significant fight.

So true what a lot of people dont realize is yea Marquez got a clear win, but it was the least important of the 4 fights for legacy.

1 and 2 were the fights between them in their prime.
