Pacquiao Utilize non-stop lateral movement and make Floyd find him (Floyd hasn't had to find an opponent since, uh, ever) Ambush attacks all night long while varying the combinations Sit down on his punches (I'd love for the JMM IV version to show up) Mayweather Circle left and play a game of inches (like JMM did) Be negative, very negative (but he better make sure Pac's not touching him consistently to bank rounds) Avoid the ropes
For Pacquaio to win a decision .... No Kenny Bayless No Vegas judges Just give Manny a level playing field Floyd Just for once be a man. For Floyd to win.... Be thebetter man on the night LEGITIMATELY!!!!!
For Paquiao: 1) Cut off the ring 2) Be passive at first. Let FMJ come to you. Counter Floyd with right hook and left straight. 3) Capitalize big time any time you hurt FMJ. Don't take rounds off. Fight hungry. Floyd: 1) Counter Pac's left straight and overall careless defense coming in. 2) Sit down on some punches early on to get respect, then continue with pot shots. 3) Lead Pac around the ring to set up traps and frustrate him.
Pacquiao - Yes, use lateral movement and head movement while cutting the angle. He should not extend and lean towards Mayweather. - Be defensively responsible and not drop his left hand. He's likely to think only about the offence which would play into Floyd's hands. - If Floyd's leans on the ropes, try to control his head with his lead hand rather than go crazy on him. - Prepare several gameplans so that when Floyd adjusts, Pacquiao can utilize new tools Mayweather - Use feints. Pacquiao is very susceptible to them and often overeacts - Establish lead foot dominance and use his lead hand - Go to the body in order to neutralize Pacquiao's speed and punch volume Generally, Mayweather only needs to be Mayweather with his counterpunching skills and ability to adjust, whereas Pacquiao needs to fight like he never did before.
If Manny Pacquaio had any ability to adjust his gameplan maybe a thread like this would be interesting but Pac is going to do what he always do. Be aggressive, throw lots of punches, get out of position, leave himself open. These things Floyd will clearly take advantage of...therefore Pac's key to victory would be to not fight like Pacquiao at all.
