News Flash newbie fighters are allowed to negotiate their own terms on many issues for each fight. So STFU dumb ass.

 

You know exactly what I mean. I'm not going to sit here and argue semantics all day. The point is Team Pac lobbying for a specified glove size or Team Floyd requesting extra blood tests is a way for them to establish rules whereas other pro athletes in other sports don't have the same power. You don't publicly hear about basketball players suspecting Lebron James of juicing because if that ever happened they'd get fined or suspended.

Maybe I'm missing something and this could be a bad suggestion but Boxing needs that type of no-nonsense governing system. Don't get me wrong, I fully support a strong drug testing framework. But once again, this is about not giving an athlete so much power that it can affect negotiation procedures in a negative way. What if The World Series or Super Bowl was canceled due to the fact that teams were too picky about certain aspects of the sport they're in? It'd be asinine. Why can't Boxing have a middle man (like David Stern) who says, "Floyd and Pac don't decide on certain issues - I make all the rules and they need to follow them."?

Both Floyd and Manny had 1 catchweight fight. Difference being, Floyd payed off marquez to come OVER contracted weight.

$10 million dollar per pound weight penalty is to PREVENT floyd from possibly cheating the scales (marquez/may fight). You dont cheat.. NO PROBLEMS. This SHOULD NOT even be an issue and I don't even think floyd cared about this dumb penalty.. cause he will not come over the weight limit.
