Pacquiao vs Mayweather

    I see no reason why Pacquiao vs. Mayweather would be any different than Hopkins vs. Pavlik. A heavier, highly defensive master fighting a lighter, power-punching ball of energy. It would be a fun fight and it would be huge in a historical sense, clearly determining the P4P king of the 00's, but I just can't see Pacquiao winning.

    Thoughts?

    Or Pacquiao vs Duran since he is another former fighter who is still alive so he might still fight.GO HANDS OF STONE!

    The size difference is too much, I think (which makes the idea of Pac fighting DLH even more ridiculous).

    If they fought at, let's say.....135? Pac would be more competitive than Pavlik was, that's for sure.

    Mayweather is pretty much an horrible match up for anyone at 147 or below not called Williams, Margarito or Mosley.

    please the only person under 154 who actually has a legitimate shot at beating Floyd is Williams.

    Margarito vs. Floyd -- see Floyd vs. Baldomir

    Mosley vs. Floyd -- see Floyd vs. Judah

    Margarito won that fight for three reasons..

    1. He wore Cotto out..
    - Floyd does not get worn out, hate him or love him you have never seen him get tired in a fight.

    2. He got Cotto off his gameplan..
    - Floyd is the most patient boxer in all of boxing, he never gets off his game plan see Mayweather vs. Judah for example..

    3. He hit Cotto..
    - Floyd does not get hit. Say whatever you want bout Margarito but he is not going to land consistently on Floyd the way he did against Cotto..

    Obviously the move up in weights didn't work for these guys.

    Leonard moved from Welterweight to Light heavyweight

    De La Hoya moved from Jr. Lightweight to Jr. Middleweight

    Roy Jones moved from Middleweight to Heavyweight

    Armstrong was the Featherweight, Lightweight and Welterweight champion all at the same time!

    Should I continue?

    The only way i see this fight happening is if pac beats de la hoya and the ppv buyrate is higher than mayweather vs de la hoya's buyrate but you have to question both fighters are they truly in it to prove who the best fighter in the world is or for the money?

    mayweather would do really bad things to pac-man in the ring. floyd is by no means slow and has a much better defense and would beat the guy around the ring all night. oscar should do the same unless he kills himself making the weight.
