A showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley is looking more and more likely if Pacquiao beats Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas. Mosley, coming off a tremendous performance against Antonio Margarito, is salivating over the possibility because of the attention and money it would generate. And Freddie Roach, PacquiaoÂ’s trainer, told a Filipino website that he likes the fight.

The wild card is Mayweather, if he chooses to remain retire, Pacman's options are wide from Valero,JMM,Cotto, and Mosely.

The sad part is Pacman will most likely only fight one more time after Hatton.

if ssm and pac would fight this year as roach would want, i guess mosley would not have a fight before pac..he may have a pretty long break

Imagine if this did actually happen. And Manny defeated Shane...

Where would you rank him all-time?

First IF Pac does win, Shane will be shot and old.

i think pac should not fight ssm. ssm is too big for him at 147 and fast mother****er even if he is 36.

i would prefer that pac fight younger fighters but there is no money in there i think. pac should not go up to 147, i think that is too far from his weight. look at what happened to tito, hatton and oscar who ventured too far north of their fighting weights.

that would be unreal....cant see it happening, but if he beat Mosley at 147, he'd probabbly rank top 15 to me, if not higher

Roach liking the fight worries me. That means he thinks Manny can win. That worries me. I'm hoping Hatton beats Pac, then Shane fights Hatton.

Pac should beat Hatton but Shane? I didn't think Pac would beat Oscar, I thought he would be knocked out, but even though I was wrong, I think Shane will beat Pac and easily.

Too freaking fast, too much power, too tough, chin too good.

Pac is too small for this man. He is going to be getting hit. Nailed actually.

Roach must think that Pac's relentless attack will get to Mosely. I don't think it will, not before Shane's punches slow down and stop Pacquiao.

This isn't Juan Manuel Marquez hitting him. It is a bigger framed man that knocked out Vargas. That was my fear with Oscar accept Oscar was way too slow for Pac, but I don't see Mosely, even when he gets tagged which he will, I don't see him following Pac around and getting hit, he is going to be landing a lot of his own **** and he can hurt Pacquiao badly with those punches, or even slow him down enough to finish him off later.

Bad fight for Pacquiao but money talks.

Too bad we never got to see Pac against 135 and 140 top fighters.

Pacman and Mosley would be a very good fight, with the Pacman favored. Mosley strength has always been speed, but with Pacman he has speed also.

As a boxing fan this would be an exciting buildup and a great fight to watch for however long it lasts.

As a Pac fan I think it's a horrible stylistic match up and I'd rather see Pac fight Mayweather.
