Good move by Arum. It's not that Arum made money from the highest bidder. It's just a counter move for not giving Cotto the HBO time. HBO will be left with a lot of useless schedule from crappy GBP fighters. Good for them.

If you ask me, I want the fight to be is Sky Sports. They have better commentary there. :)

fact is that the guy who had sold the most HBO PPV's three years running is Pacquiao. And the guy who has had the highest ratings on regular HBO is Cotto.

HBO is a heavyweight in boxing, but make no mistake so is Top Rank. And Top Rank has the clout to make Showtime move up in class.

Am I the only one that is being optimistic about this? HBO tries to boss around certain promoters and favor a certain one. As strange as it sounds, Top Rank is doing something absolutely right and that is fighting back against the bully. What will HBO do now? Their most popular fighter is on vacation and they now have the likes of Dawson, Berto, and other no names to represent them. This is Showtime's opportunity to show the world that they can do things right. Let's hope Top Rank and Showtime can do something good.

CBS will put up a Pac-Mosley documentary on prime time programming according to Dan Rafael. Great hype and mainstream exposure for pacquiao.

top Rank has a great list of names like Marg, Cotto, Donaire, Gamboa, Lopez, Pac, Rios, Sotto etc. now aside from Khan and Alvarez, most names in the GBP roster are either old fighters who were pirated by GBP when they were at their peak and are now passing their prime like JMM, Robert guerrero, katsidis and Diaz, or hypejobs who just got exposed like Ortiz, Jacobs. fighters from other promoters in HBO like berto, dawson and alexander are dull and would be lucky to have a career as big and as long as corey spinks' lol

I like HBO production much better and Lampley's blow by blow is actually the best in the business, Roy jones is an excellent color commentator as well but Manny Steward just sounds old and bitter now, Kellerman's turned into an elitist jackass since coming from ESPN and Merchant needs to be sent out to the pasture to croak.

Let's not act like HBO did not have a HUGE hand in making this true. HBO put HUGE marketing muscle behind both these guys.
