I'm talking about the Cotto who fought Margarito, not the Cotto after that point. He's seemed like a different fighter since then
Cotto ceased being the scary offensive beast when he stepped up his opposition. The Cotto that fought Margarito is the one that fought Clottey, great when he backs himself, but once he get tagged he fights off the backfoot very ineffectively.
To be honest, we still don't know the extent of the difference between the now Cotto and the pre Margarito Cotto. The Jennings fight didn't tell us much, and the Clottey display was hampered by that nasty gash. If Pacquiao wins, it will be an amazing achievement
He had two fights since margo...Jennings, where he looked great and Clottley where he didn't look so great, but no one does against Clottley. Clottley is one tough ******* and you do have to grit a victory out of it, which he managed to do. I still think Cotto is in his prime.
Kona, Im a big Cotto fan and the truth hurts. I cant see any evidence to suggest that Cotto had faded physically. Mentally he might still be a still battered but thats not to say he isnt in his prime. Miguel looks the **** against guys who arent his level or only just below him..Even against guys who obviously trouble him he has proved he has a hell of a lot of ticker and desire to win. Radab, I think your better off trying to argue that Pac is not in his prime weight.
Pac wont have a cry and fake an injury if he does. He will just get straight back and try and take Miguels head off.
i think it's just a matter of "state of mind" for cotto. every now and then we see fighters who's mind-set changes when they lose their "0". i beleive that he's still in his prime.
Cotto will have a hard time catching pac who will move like the tazmanian devil. :yep This content is protected
But you have to admit that this kind of beating takes a lot from a boxer no matter what state of mind you want to be in. This content is protected
