PPV bombed bigtime, Arum thought he could feed the fans a garbage comeback fight with an even worse undercard, now he's scrambling because outside of Floyd or Marquez, Pacquiao's next PPV will be in this same neighborhood.

It's hilarious people thinking Bradley is going to move the needle, last time Manny was coming off a big PPV and it only did 700k, now all of a sudden Bradley is a draw? Bradley coudn't sell ice water in hell.

floyd will never give Pac 60-40

    trust me on this..

The most Pac might get is 20 mil up front and a little from PPV...
    Canelo got 12 mill...

remember after the first sit down floyd agreed to the 50-50 and pac walked away because of Blood testing..floyd said he would never give him 50-50 again.

then floyd call him offered him 40mill flat fee Manny hung up on him!!!

After those loses and Rios PPV you think floyd will give him 40%?? i need some of the drugs ur smoking...

If pac Takes on Tim and Lose and the PPV sells under 600k Floyd Might not even give him 90-10...

I don't know how people can argue about this when its simple.

Manny isn't making 30 million bc his additional money was based off of the PPV for him and Rios. Any upfront money that Arum got such as site fee etc benefits Arum and Top Rank period. Also Arum writes checks out to "Manny Pacquiao" personally so whatever he has to pay in taxes in the Philippines is based on him personally and not a business entity.

The reason Floyd can make so much is bc of his business model. Floyd's checks are written out to Mayweather Promotions. Everything he gets is written out to his company. Then he cuts himself a check. He benefits differently than Manny when it comes to taxes etc bc of it. So when people say Floyd didn't make this or that you have to understand that the dude is getting a percentage off of drinks, hot dogs etc.

Its sad that Manny hasn't figured out that he is a brand and could have been doing the same thing but Arum didn't teach him this and put Koncz there to keep him dumb down.

If this is true this is a sad day for boxing. Also, Bob gambled with the future of Pac to try and open up a new market and everyone lost badly. Could this mean that boxing only has one true mega star left?

mayweather promotions also pay taxes. taxes dont go magically away like smoke if you make your own company.

i would assume that mayweather promotions is a corporation.

being such he would be able to pay the tax in a different way. for example if you make donations, you can deduct them dollar for dollar from the taxes.

as an individual, you pay the taxes directly.

plus if the company goes belly up, you are largely unaffected as you are separate entity.

im not an expert on this but, it is my understanding how thsese companies/corporations work.

floyd as an individual is paying less taxes, but his company is also paying taxes, which in reality is still floyd's money.

with pac, it doesnt really matter because he will be taxed by the irs whether it is him or the company representing him.

im not sure he is allowed to build a corporation as a foreigner.

edit: i feel liek there is too much emphasis on ppvs/money than the actual fight itself.

like the fight isnt getting made because the people involved could not agree to how big of a slice they get off the pie.

my personal feeling, from the beginning, since floyd decided to fight marquez instead of waiting of pac-hatton. that just so strange. 24hrs, if hatton wins, he rematch hatton in uk. pac wins, then they go at it, for all the marbles and glory. pound 4 pound at stake, fighter of the decade, certified and only megastar of the sport.

out from left field, floyd signed marquez. it was so hurriedly done, they wont even tell at what weight.

it just went south from there.

since the beginning, floyd's confidence is just not there.

    now i understand why.

I never said he didn't pay taxes bc his money goes under his company. You don't have to give me example bc I own a business and everything you said is spot on to a degree.

Floyd has a great plan and more fighters should look into that at some point.
