his business model is geared towards cherry picking. thats not bood in my book.

we never (hardly if any) have this problem when dela hoya was on top.

and yeah, floyd hasnt really done anything that wasnt done before.

to mention that future boxers need to follow his lead, well he was just following dela hoyas lead, so what about it?\

lets follow floyd's model because he copied it good from dela hoya. onlye he is doing the opposite and duck he relevant fights.:good

Its clear you don't have a clue as to what I am talking about so I will just leave it at that.

I gave you a great example earlier. When Manny gets his checks from Arum it has Manny Pacquiao on it. Arum said they take out 30% and pay Manny's taxes with that. Manny Pacquiao has Manny Pacquiao Promotions, right? If he had any kind of sense he would have his checks written out to Manny Pacquiao Promotions and then pay himself a salary from that.

Floyds checks are written out to Mayweather Promotions which he pays Roger, Ellerbe, Floyd Sr and everyone else out of that. So when he pays for food or certain things for people he writes a lot of that stuff of as a business expense.

You up here talking about Floyd's business model is based on him cherry picking :patsch

Well if he did follow Oscar's lead by getting a good team around him to set up his business then he was smart for doing it. Nothing wrong with that. He could still be with Arum getting advances like someone we know.

So yes it is good for other fighters to get a sense on how the business side works and where there money is actually coming from etc. :deal

so, we should be happy for a boxing fight not making enough pay-per-view rather than making of the best fights. pac-rios was just not marketed properly and was done outside US with a very weak undercard so what do you expect. as boxing fans, we still need the best fights made and all fighters compensated enough and not just the main event fighters

Floyd has evolved his model to the point that Oscar never dreamed when he was fighting. Oscar was probably the first to really exploit his brand and use that as a spring board for life after boxing

i agree with fiddy cent and tommy summers...floyd's model of giving 27% to haymon and also paying gbp for promotional fee is terrible. at this stage of his career, floyd don't need haymon.

It's either give it to them as part of doing business or give it to the IRS. I don't think you guys quite get what a corporation is in the USA. TMT, I'm certain, is some form of corporation. If GBP is good at promoting, and they seem to be, there's no reason not to employ their services or Al Haymon. Write it off.

The good thing about this is that GBP employs people. Al Haymon employs people. TMT employes people. It's how business works and is good for the economy.

"making of the best fights". One word, RIOS!

It was done outside of the USA to avoid taxes. They mock the country which afforded that cheat all his luxuries. They thought they could do better in "Asia" and quickly found out PEDcquiao is only a star in the Phils.
