think about it for a moment. tax in the u.s. is high. im guessing upwards of 40pct for that kind of income.

assuming he got 80m, minus 40cpt. 32m alone goes to the irs. now subtract the deals he has with gbp and al. subtract the rest with crew and his total revenue is halved.

keep in mind he has no endorsement deals or merchandising (his own brand) sold.

40m for the 2m ppv buys vs. pac's 18m (without ppv share, without philippine deals) for 500ppv buys.

pac isnt really off by much.

how the hell can he get 80-100 mil when there's only about 72mil revenue on the ppv?

    2.2mil x $65 = 143mil / 2 = 71.5 mil x 25% (gbp promotional fee) = 53mil

    41 floyd, 10 canelo, 3 garcia/matthysse = 54mil

Then merchandise, food, sponsors, site fee, licensing, etc. There is much more revenue coming in then just ppv.

there's also much more expenses when you're the one doing the promotions and stuff.

i'm guessing gbp takes 25% off the gross profit as their promotional fee.

Showtime/golden boy are doing the fans a tremendous service by giving stacked cards every month. Even when hbo had the human resources, they would give tons of stinkers some completely not their fault.

The picture quality HBO has and RJJ are almost all the network has left, imo.

pac boys are stupid u think floyd would leave top rank to get **** by gbp and Al haymond!!!

are u fools that ****ing stupid? Floyd doesn't need Al or GBP they need him!!!
GBP is with floyd to make their money from the b side...if you haven't notice all floyd opp are GBP fighters.....

    now Learn life....
Al is his manager he get about 8-15% of Floyd' purse at Most and for the type of money he got Floyd He deserves it!!!

Lenard is his Agent and the most a agent get is 3-8%

there are laws in america that protect athletes and Celebs (look it up)
GBP money come from Floyd hiring them for that fight..and 95% of their money comes from sponsors and whoever is on the b-side!

Bob ****ed pac up saying he sold 1.4 mill when he only did 800K said he made 30 mill when he made 20..... the IRS is going to be on that ass saying where is the 30 mill not the 20 you reported...

No you think about it. When Floyd gets paid it doesn't go to Floyd Mayweather Jr. His checks go to Mayweather Promotions and then he pays himself out of. Totally different tax bracket and benefits from that.

arum used to be a tax lawyer. read again, key word "up to".

this is prevalent in advertising, "up to 30pct discount on selected items... blah blah".

tehn you find out your favorite item, the discount is only 5pct.

anyway, for a boxing site, there is too much talk about ppvs, money, cut/percentage off earmings.

you should go stock trading if youre that interested about making so much money.

these types of money we talk about now, its not even enough for what my company used to spend on lunch ( free lunch meal for all employees).

im not impressed with this money talk. without inside info, everything is just assumptions/speculations.

decide what is the right split then make the fight. simple.
