Rios has to get to Manny's body. If he can, then it'll be more interesting.

Rios is a heavy hitting, world class lightweight, but he's a top 20 WW at best. Be honest, what top 10 welter do you see him being competitive with?

And to answer your question... from memory, Hearns did it twice( Shuler, Kinchen), Jones Jr. fought Johnson right after the Tarver debacle and Williams fought Lara right after getting destroyed by Sergio.

It's like people are expecting Manny to be Floyd mayweather and facing great opposition all the time.

We have to remember that Manny is comming of atleast 2 losses in his last three fights and one where quite a brutal one. Manny hasn't looked really good in years. Expect in their last fight against Marquez except getting knockedo ut.

Manny aint stoppin Rios early , his chin is too good for that to happen . You know that and i know that .

Just Judging from your post , Its obvious you're not going Manny any credit no matter what happens and going to critisize him regardless of the result .

Floyd got into the ring with someone who had NO CHANCE of beating him .

Its all a matter of styles . Stylistically this can potentially turn out to be a dangerous fight for Manny to take especially coming straight off a knockout loss .

Rios is an agressive fighter whos going to be in his face for 12 whole rnds , Everyone is going to witness Manny getting rocked pretty good in this fight , Manny nots that hard to find .

Mayweather/Guerrero was one of the most boring fights of this year .

Pacquiao/Rios can very well be FOTY .

The Ghost, Paulie, Ortiz, Brook could be worn down perhaps. It's hard to say really. I'm a Rios fan so maybe a bit bias.

And your other response; thanks for actually answering. My point was it is not the norm and he shouldn't be criticised for this fight. Hearns/rjj were exceptional freaks.

PAC's last 3 fights have been against p4p Top 10 fighters. Marquez twice and Bradley

Mayweathers last 3 fights have been against average or past their best fighters. Guerrero, Ortiz and Cotto.

It's laughable that people hold PAC up to far higher standard then the so called P4P number 1 who is allowed to continually fight average fighters!

PAC will fight ANYONE, Mayweather cherry picks his opponents so that he has every advantage!

What's the difference between these two guys? PAC moved up 12 lbs to face Dela Hoya, Mayweather made Marquez move up 12 lbs to face him!

PAC wanted to fight TOP 10 p4p competition (Marquez and Bradley) on his return and offered them career high paydays but they both chickened out.

Pac was knocked out cold in his last fight and yet he still comes out and faces a very tough guy in BRANDON RIOS on his return which is a fan friendly FIGHT OF THE YEAR type fight.

AGAIN....once more i will say GIVE ME 1 EXCITING ROUND OF PAC-RIOS THEN 12 BORING ASS ROUNDS OF MAYWEATHER-GUERRERO!
