I often wonder if Pac moving up to 135 lbs. will actually make him more money. Of course, he has a chance to be a 4-time division champion (am I correct?), but names like David Diaz, Juan Diaz, and Michael Katsidis are not that big yet. Juan Diaz may be the bigger name between the 3 of them. In fact, those three fighters need Pacquiao to lighten up the division, and bring in more prize money. Since when has the 135 lb. division ever been a popular one? It's been so long.

Other than winning another weight division, the only other reason why I think Pacquiao would want to move up in weight is if he's eyeing for the 140 lb. division in a couple of years, and fighting the likes of Ricky Hatton.

luevano - a fighter who could be dropped by jandaeng does not belong in the same ring as pac. he clearly does not have it in him yet to compete with any of the top fighters at 126-130. i don't see him moving up in weight anytime soon and pac would most certainly not go back to 126. so this match should not even be discussed.

barrios and soto - good fighters but as you said, they have already lost to guzman, why would pac want to beat someone who guzman has already beaten? it will only strengthen the arguement that pac is ducking guzman. there's absolutely no point to it.

juarez - beaten twice by mab, beaten by jmm. why would pac fight him? no reason at all. it will be fun to watch because it is a mismatch. pac preys on fighters like juarez.

valero- give him a fighter with a sturdy chin and a good gameplan and he will be beaten. who has he beat? mosquera is the best name in his resume.

all these fight will not and should not happen. there are better fights in the horizon for pac. plus, all those names will not help pac sell a ppv

I'll give you Nate Campbell. Admittedly, I haven't seen him fight. I just checked out his record, and he beat Juan Diaz. I guess if he can beat Diaz, then he must be pretty good. Okay, let's have a Campbell-Pacquiao fight.

Yes, I have. But those kinds of fights were so few and far inbetween for the 135 lb. division. Back then it was just Corrales, Castillo, Acelino Freitas, and Joel Casamayor. Floyd Mayweather didn't stick around too long in the division, because he knew he couldn't make much money in it. Same thing with Arturo Gatti.

Not that I'm trying to pick an argument with you, but give Luevano a year, and he can certainly move up 4 pounds to fight Pacquiao assuming of course that Pac stays at 130 lbs. If Oscar Larios can move up 8 pounds (from 122 lbs) to fight Pac, then I don't see why Luevano can't. Everyone gets knocked down at one point in their career, and Luevano is no exception.

I would like Pac to fight Barrios and Soto AND Guzman in whatever order. Even though Barrios and Soto both lost to Guzman, there still great fighters. Soto was never knocked down by Guzman nor was he ever seriously hurt, even though it was a land-slide victory for Guzman.

Valero's record may not have big names, but let's face some fact here, he's basically destroyed everyone he's fought, and there not necessarily "chump" fighters. Valero should start fighting bigger name fighters if he can get them since he's not able to fight in the U.S. where many of the big name fighters prefer to fight at. Valero is still game in my opinion, and can probably draw a good PPV fight.

i'm not trying to pick a fight man. i'm just trying to tell you why these fights makes no sense.

normally, fighters would not want to face other fighters who have already been beaten by someone at their level unless it is a big mane fighter. pac beating soto, juarez and barios will not do anything for his legacy as they have already been beaten by jmm and guzman. pac wanted to beat mab even if he was already beaten by jmm because mab is a big name.

valero destroyed eveyone he has fought because they were nobodies. add to that, he isn't allowed to fight in the US.

leuvano just won't sell a ppv. there is nothing overly special about him
