From the article on the main page, what do people think of this proposition?? I'm not so sure, kinda looks good on paper, two South paw bangers going at it. But i think Pacs miles ahead in terms of overall boxing ability and would destroy Valero. What's the thoughts here on Valero anyways? Still hasn't been put in with the elite names around that weight as of yet.
I'd fancy Pac to take him out within 5 totally dominating and the finish to be spectacular. But I guess we'll see how good Valero really is if he faces Bradley at 140. How do peeps see that, Valero-Bradley?
I don't see why the fight needs to happen. The fight can be hyped up to the average fan with Pac being seen as P4P champ and Valero KOing anyone he has took on. I'm with Fleaman on this I don't see what Valero can do that Pac hasn't dealt with before. Why is Valero getting so much hype after beating DeMarco, DeMarco is a good fighter and its a solid win but its like Funeka beating Katsidis and asking for Pac.
Valero won't beat Bradley. But, Valero-Pacquaio would be a really great match up, highly combustible.
would rather see valero stay at 135lbs and try and clean up. fights with soto, katsidis, funeka would all be great. think arum just wants as many decent fights for manny as possible which dont involve mayweather
I like Valero, but I couldn't see him lasting long in this one. Power aside, Pac is just too quick and sharp for him.
true. but the guy can bang and we dont know how anyone will react to his power. the one guy he wont be fighting any time soon..........Khan lol
All I will say is Speed Kills. Valero is 28 and needs to step up his level of comp, but this is too far.
Well, I'm not certain he is as big a puncher as his record suggests. The one punch power of Holt? Not from what I've seen. Bradeley is versatile, tough, fast and decent in a few areas. Valero is relentless and wild. No contest IMO, based on footage of the 2. Valero is better than I thought he'd be but his power is overrated IMO, 26 K.O's or not :good
From what I've seen, Valero is a God awful Boxer but he seems to knock out fighters with punches that don't even look devastating, a sign of top power or weak opponents (or maybe both).
Did you see his fight at the weekend? He is not "a God awful boxer" by a lot. His hands are quick, he moves in and out very nicely, his power may not be as great as his record would suggest, but it is certainly good. I think the 18 first round ko's in his first 18 fights may have taken him a little off his boxing, with everyone expecting a 1 round ko every time he fought he has been wild in some of his fights, but against DeMarco he looked red hot. As far as Pacquiao goes, he's strong at welterweight and the best p4p fighter in the world. I'd favour Valero against anyone at lightweight, but at the moment fighting Pacquiao would be very ambitious. Too ambitious, for sure.
