Mabuza was/is a VERY solid B+/A- fighter, who Marquez dominated twice. Are you calling Ledwaba Pac's best win at 122? Because he doesn't prove as much as a pair of stoppages over the very rugged Silence.

    Whoops :patsch

I blame you partially though, you confused me by saying "common opponents like Ledwaba" which made automatically made me start thinking bantamweight as Rafael's only ever fought Izzy at super (and I don't know Rafa's earlier career pre-2005 that well). Rafael, it appears, never fought Ledwaba at any weight ever, though... :? What did you mean by that?

Yea, he has shown that he is prone to going to war. At that weight though, Pac's power was so known that I would think he could stick to a game plan.

Vasquez and Pac would be a war, and would depend on the ability of Vasquez to take that first shot and make adjustments.

Acb if you doubt if the guy with IVC in the trunks was Vasquez, I made my research at Wikipeadia. Here's Izzy complete name: IVC means,....

    Israel Vázquez Castañeda (born

Right, and there again it comes down to "if Rafael could stun Vazquez here and there but never put him on ***** street, then what would Pacquiao's power do" - and unfortunately there is no surefire way to gauge the effectiveness of their punching power head to head at the weight.

Just watch the sparring, Pac has too much speed... He's just Playing with Izzy easily. It will be a domination by Pac if the fights happens at 122.

I dont see anything in that video that suggests that Pac blew him out of the gym. Do you?

I'm comparing Pac with both Izzy & Rafa. Pac was miles ahead in speed alone.

Both guys are landing shots, and to be honest its not the most serious sparring match I have ever seen. My guess looking at it is that Pac was about to fight Morales and needed Vasquez to simulate it a little. He is clearly trying to get some conditioning to the body and Vasquez is accomodating him.

Neither man is going near full speed, there simply isn't enough evidence for you to back your claim. And even if there was, this is still a Pac who is fighting at 130lbs (would be my guess looking at him here).

That's true, but both guys have other departments where they shine brighter than Pac as well that could possibly neutralize his strengths (Rafa with his accurate counterpunching, Izzy with his grit and heart) - although he'd surely be a favorite over either.

True- and Vasquez would also fight Pac differently than he is fighting Marquez. In fact, I think both Marquez and Vasquez are gaining somewhat of an unfair rep for taking punches. They know that they can take eachothers best shot, and are being caught up in the Mexican rivalry, and the talk of all time great trilogies. My point is that they are both accomodating the crowd to a certain degree. And both would fight Pac differently IMO.

Both would definitely be the "boxer-puncher" against Pacquiao. More of a rare role for Izzy, but he's skilled enough to step into it if he had to.
