Marquez believes Pacquiao, will have a difficult time beating Timothy Bradley. That’s because Bradley is just as quick, if not quicker than Pacquiao, he said.

"You know, Bradley is a very difficult fight for Manny Pacquiao," Marquez said. "Very difficult. Bradley is a very fast fighter. Pacquiao thrives on speed and agility, using these attributes to dominate bigger but slower opponents."

But Marquez thinks Pacquiao looks vulnerable when pitted against a fighter with similar speed.

Marquez, who nearly pulled off an upset against Pacquiao last November, said Bradley's durability could also pose as a problem for Pacquiao.

“He (Bradley) is a good boxer who can take a punch,” said the Mexican.

Marquez also fears that if Pacquiao loses to the American boxer, people will no longer be interested to see a 4th Pacquiao-Marquez fight.

“If Pacquiao loses that, and he could, it would take a lot of the interest off a bout with me and him."

Nah, don't think I agree with that. There isn't much evidence of this, if any, at all.

I think what he means to say is he is vulnerable against people who have good timing

I wouldn't see how he has an issue with speed, when his style is inviting to engage in a match.

Yeah, that's right Marquez meant timing:huh...the man has been boxing almost his entire life and some how he got speed and timing mixed up:patsch

So lets all second guess the guy who has given Pacquiao his toughest challenge to date:blood

funny cause Pac in his prime would make Bradley look as fast as Valuev.

I've seen Bradley live and believe me I've seen several far faster fighters.

He's right. That's why I always thought the smaller fighters would be tougher for him and gave Bradley a better chance than Margarito

Marquez knows what he's talking about. He's one of the smartest fighters in the sport right now, and he's gone 36 rounds with Pacquiao. He knows his style and abilities better than any other opponent.

When he says 'quick fighters', I don't think he's just talking about handspeed. I think he means general quickness, like being nimble on your feet or being able to twist your upper body out of the way of punches (hence the term 'agility'). Marquez has quite compact, quick footwork, which is part of the reason Pac struggles against him, and Marquez was also able to weave away from Pac's shots with his upper body, something most recent Pac opponents haven't been able to do. Pac has become so used to fighting bigger, slower guys that it must have been a shock to the system to step in with Marquez again.

Mosley has quick hands, but he doesn't strike me as being particularly fast or agile in terms of footspeed and upper body movement. Margarito is a massive, walking target. Clottey simply covers up, and he isn't particularly quick. Cotto can string together fast punches at points, but he has quite a hulking, crouching style. Hatton has the quickest feet out of all these guys, but his defence is terrible, and he's so aggressive that he rushed into all of Pac's punches. Bradley won't do anything like that. I haven't seen much of Bradley's fights, but if he watched the Pac/Marquez and Pac/Mosley bouts, he'll surely try to box Pac from the outside while constantly turning him.

Meh Bradley has a wide attack and sloppy style when attacking with no power.

    Pacquiao gonna hurt that ass

You can turn this around and say smaller quicker fighters are more vulnerable to Pac's power.

agreed. Still think a younger, faster, more dynamic Pac wouldn't have had this issue.

Pacquiao had trouble keeping up with Mosley's footwork. If Bradley is as educated in the ring as he appears outside of it about boxing, Manny's in for a looong night.
