Since you felt that Floyd was 7lbs heavier than Marquez on fight night, do you think that Floyd deserves a hell of a lot more credit than he gets since had moved up weight to face Castillo and was outweighed by 9lbs on fight night??

he gets credit from me but not as much as him beating mosley. marquez was not proven in any weight higher than 135 so a fight between him and pacquiao even at 140 is just trying to be sentimental over the last 2 fights. jmm should establish himself first at these weights but would not blame pac for accepting his challenge. it's just that pac is more proven at these weight/s that this is seen a mismatch. size-wise, pac and jmm are both smaller than floyd is now.

Pac can control his weight 100% with diet and nutrition. He was consuming 7000+ calories per day to put on size. All he has to do is scale that back and he can come into the fight at whatever weight he desires. Wringing 4 lbs of water out of your system is NOT cutting weight. Cutting weight is like 10,15+ lbs water cut prior to weigh in. If you have never cut weight or don't understand what it means it's good to research on it.
His workouts are intense enough that he MUST consume alot of calories just not to lose weight and shrink.
This is completely opposite of someone who's natural walking weight is considerably higher than their fighting weight in which they must drop 20 or sometimes 30 lbs of their normal weight. THAT IS WEIGHT CUTTING. When you have to scale back your calories so much that you barely have enough fuel to supply your workouts, let alone to recover properly, it drains you physically.
This is NOT Pac's situation. His fighting weight is sometimes HIGHER than his walking weight. This means he consumes surplus calories, and therefore always gets the benefit of fully fueled workouts, excellent recovery, and increased lean muscle tissue. He comes into fights fully energized and comfortable.
IF the fight was contracted at 140 PAC could easily drop 5 lbs of water and rehydrates with ZERO effects.
Where you see guys getting into trouble is when their entire training camp is about losing the weight substantially below their natural weight ala De La Hoya v Pac.

emmanuel knows the effects of weight draining better than anyone else. It's supposedly the reason he was KO'd twice, and it's the reason why he did so well against Oscar. He did it on Cotto and marg to get extra advantages. They didn't need it on Clottey, he doesn't even know how to win. It's only normal for emmanuel to refuse being weight drained himself.

Why you people sitting around and arguing about a fight that isn't going to happen, I guarantee Mosley is his next opponent. Bob Arum controls Pac, Mosley makes Arum more money and is an easier opponent hehe.

I just read an Article from today where Arum was saying he wants Mosley next because he's a bigger draw to casual fans lol. It's already signed boys get your popcorn ready!

As the thread starter, i don't want any mention of Floyd please. It's just going to start another pointless PBF/Pacman battle. Let's keep it on the topic at hand please.
