Pacquiao right now feels very comfortable at 147. He's accustomed to it and everyone admits he had a hard time making weight at the lower weights until he finally jumped up.

Marquez did it once (vs Mayweather) and he looked like a dwarf with no chance of winning.

Of course the weight affects the fight. Although I am sure that every Pacquiao fan will claim the opposite.

 

it will affect the fight on pac's part only but not much because he will be forced to skip meal since he fought hatton at 140. on jmm's part 140, 144 or 147 doesn't matter. he would still be unproven at this weight.

the OP is just stating that even if they are fighting in 2 divisions apart, they are stll the same size.

 

Marquez at 145lb is a 10lb increase from 135lb, meaning he is probably bloated with water and food.

Pacquiao is balanced at 148. He would weight similar on fight night, but same thing bloated, looks much bigger now.

And I am stating that the weight they'll fight at (if they ever do) will definitely make a difference. The higher the weight, the bigger the advantage for Pacman.

 

I agree Marquez should just leave that ?? in the air and forget about him.. He gave him two tough fights that are very close and can be scored either way depending how biased you are. Legendedary fights that brought out the best in each other...


Marquez should take out KHAN-Maidana Winner then Bradley alexander winner..

He can retire knowing he made his own history and if he wins accomplishes what no other mexican did.. Yeah he won't 8 BS title but he would have got his 4 titles with honor and taking on Great Opponents.


A 3rd fight would be good at 140... Hopefully ROACH is not a ***** and want every advantage for PAC. If its not at 140...

See that's part of the problem. When someone asks something from Pacquiao, that is a completely legitimate request, he "shouldn't have to bend over". But, when Manny asks for people to drain themselves for title fights, ask for $10 million for every pd over etc., it's the other guy's fault.

Uh...right. He is a WW. The guy weighed 146 lbs, IN THE RING, vs SSM. Jeff Mayweather says he walks around at about 155. This means he was, more than likely, somewhere between 146 and 155 against Marquez.
