Pacquiao weighing 144 for a 150 lbs fight is worse than floyd being 2 lbs over

  1. ROLFLMAO @ the idea of a boxer complaining that his opponent cheated the scales by coming in too light!

    "I outweighed him by 15 pounds! Rematch!"

    :rofl:rofl:lol::lol::nut:nut

    Oh, Floyd fans, they're all alike. I think it was spud who said Pac was exposed when he made his sparring partner wear 16oz gloves.

    Right. But that's where money comes in the equation. You really think Marg or even Cotto would turn down the biggest payday of their career over losing a few pounds (which does matter in a fight)? Margarito, under the circumstances he was in, would've literally taken out a lung to fight Pac or anyone else for that matter.

    Basically Team Pac paid to have an advantage. Pac was able to fight at his comfortable weight whereas Marg had to sacrifice something. It's not a crippling effect because obviously Marg made the weight but it does give Pac an advantage.

    Last I checked Pac says he still can make 135. He won't fight JMM at 135 or even 140 because he knows he'll give up his advantage. That's the key.

    Or a troll...

  6. Pac's nicely settled into the welterweight division (ODLH, Cotto, Clottey, Mosley, and Margarito @ 150). Do you think he's really going to **** around with his weight this late in his career and drop down to 135 with big superfights looming in Mayweather, Bradley, Ortiz, Canelo, etc.?

    :huh

    I understand the grey areas, but I think the thread was dealing with the black and white. Its a belief that if a fighter comes in a few lbs under the limit then hes giving an advantage to the heavier fighter. Not nessisarily true. Its about the fighters optimum fighting weight. The weight in which his or her body will perform at its best. Thats why Money didnt come up to 154 for the ODH fight and didnt come all the way down for JMM. Thats why Oscar got beat so bad by Pac, because he came down to the limit and Pac was at his optimum. Everybody knows that Oscar fights better than that. The way I read the thread is 150 is 150 and 147 is 147 regardless. If a fighter is allowed to come in under then he or she should be allowed so many lbs over. Thats the black and white of it. Im not saying its fair or its right. It is what it is.:bbb:bbb:bbb

    When did Floyd express the OP's sentiment? Sounds like you're trying to twist an ignorant fan's opinion into that of your arch nemeses. :nut:nut:nut:nut:nut

    How in any way, shape, form, or fashion do you take anything from the TS, and attribute it to PBF directly? You stated directly and I quote..."this is what you call FLOYD and his fans trying to twist reality to suit their own"? How in the **** do you arrive at this conclusion, please explain it to me...:huh

    Neither is that big of a deal. Mayweather being 2 Lbs over is the bigger deal though. Mayweather had to pay a fine for weighing in over the limit. Mayweaweather's weight for the Marquez fight was not the deciding factor. Mayweather being the better boxer was the deciding factor. I have no problem with a boxer weighing in below the limit. This includs Pacquiao. Once again the weight was not the deciding factor. Pacquiao being a better boxer was the deciding factor.
