If that happens he will be like a partime congressman too coz he'll be fighting too. Unfair for his constituents.

Hope runs for congress after he's finally done in boxing. Probably two more years and he could run for congress already.

He'll only fight maybe once or twice a year the most so it shouldn't affect him with his new job. But im glad he'll still be fighting couple of more times. I just hope he can be as dedicated as he is now. HOpe he doesn't turn out like oscar.

Not a good idea. Being a congressman and being a prize fighter are full time jobs. He will not be effective on both if he's going to do it just part time.

a congressman in the philippines? all you got to do is accept bribes and sign on the dotted line. what's so hard about that?

In all seriousness, he just about sealed his fate of winning any political race if he's gonna half ass his way.

true hope he can stay in shape and still train if he becomes congressman so he wont be so out of shape when its time to start training for a fight.

If his mind isn't 100 percent on boxing, it's best for him not to fight. Inactivity isn't good for him, especially given his style and reliance on physical attributes. Don't get me wrong, he's highly skilled, but I don't think he's a Hopkins or a Mayweather where they can fall back on those skills once their athleticism has eroded noticably.

I don't think he'll have any problems staying in shape. My biggest concern is he has to train for @ least 2 mos. before a fight. God forbid but what happens if an emergency comes up in his region that requires him to go back to the Philippines. Then the fight would have to be postponed or scrapped. It may never happen but it's a possibility.

Yea true..depending on how big of an emergency it is, i doubt he will have to postpone his fights.

I've never been in politics ( thank goodness ) but as a congressman, what do you say to your constituents if your presence is required and you can't show up because you're fighting somebody in the ring thousands of miles away.

As a Pac fan, I wish he would just forget about politics and stick to what he does best, prize fighting. Besides, he can help the Filipino people more as a boxer than being a congressman. Only my opinion though.

That's why I pray that he'll not run for congress next year. If he ever run again, hope it would be on the time he's already done with boxing. If he'll run in next year race, il pray that he lose.
