"I don't need Manny Pacquiao." yeah that's the way to hype up a big money fight. floyd's all about money, he knows how to play the role of the bad guy to hype up a fight.

    "I don't need Manny Pacquiao."

translation: it's the laying of the foundation for the duck of all ducks.

He cant have a warm up fight?

Why come off after nearly 18 months and fight Pac, Cotto or Mosley?

If Mayweather was to fight either of those 3 after they were coming off an 18 month layoff you would call him a cherry picker.

FMJ stated he doesn't need the Pac. I thought that was the reason he came out of his so called retirement, to fight Pac and get the biggest payday of his career.

Does PBF deserves $15 million purse for a warm up (tune up) fight with JMM? PBF has all the advantages in this fight and is a 4 to 1 favorite to crush JMM and he wants people to buy this possible boring warm up fight to finance his $15 million purse and JMM's $3.75 million purse... Greedy?

isn't golden boy the one who gave up the money and made it PPV? Also, HBO OKAYED for it to be PPV.

You act like this is all Mayweathers choices. Clearly, GBP and HBO feel this fight is fine and worth the money.

He probably doesn't deserve 15 million for Marquez but he did also sign a 5 fight contract which he probably got a deal out of it.

Everybody involved in making this fight is at fault... Look now, this warm up fight is not selling well because they want to portray it as a competitive megafight when in reality it's just a tune up fight where PBF is being overpaid and having all the advantages...

PBF - greedy, taking advantage of JMM
    JMM - short selling himself
MP/GBP/HBO - fooling people that this is a megafight, why don't they just promote it as PBF's comeback tune up fight?

Isn't it Mayweather Promotions (MP) is the lead promoter for this fight??

After seeing this picture of Mayweather

Size looks like of an issue now. He seems quite small compared to before.

Also. JMM is getting a career high payday, hard to call that short selling ones self.

I thought GBP was the main promoter considering he signed a 5 fight contract. Why would he sign a contract with his own promotion company?

He does look pretty small compared to his last couple of fights in 2007.

I try not to look too much into it though. Sometimes certain pictures will make you look smaller/bigger.

True but his neck/shoulder area looks smaller definitely. That's hard to angle small/bigger in a picture IMO.

    "
Mayweather vs. Marquez: "Number One/Numero Uno," is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions in association with Marquez Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and Southwest Airlines."

Looks like Mayweather Promotions is the main/lead promoter... JMM is short selling himself by giving PBF every advantage like 80/20 purse split, fight at 147 (or 144), etc.

If PBF is really that "small", he should fight JMM at 140...

Void has already refused to fight Pac, but he has also refused to fight Cotto, Margarito and Moseley.

He should fight him at 140.

Although him and GBP and him are promoting it, not just him.

EDIT - Its GBP and His Promotions doing it joint. GBP is not associated it with it but actually doing it.

    Unlike Marquez Promotions.

very interesting points made by the TS.

true, mayweather has not been making the necessary saber wratling provocative acts which will lead to a collision between the two.

if pbf signed a 5 fight contract, who can it be.

    1. jmm
    2. pac
    3. cotto???
    4. mosley??
    5. ivan calderon?:yep
