I liked the article and agree with his ideas. The very fact that Mayweather chose Marquez as a comeback fight illustrates the author's point. If Pac and Mayweather both win the pressure to make this fight will be massive. I STILL can't believe Mayweather turned down the De La Hoya rematch. I can see him avoiding Pac, definitely. I hope the author is wrong and that the money is too tempting, but I can see Mayweather making somebody else from 140 move up again and again waiting for Pac to retire, collecting smaller checks and paying off his bills.
:yep roll::yep. seriously, why is pbf not making any sound about fighting mosley, cotto, williams or pac. jmm???:rofl hopkins-tito anyone? hatton? easy payday. fool us once. shame on you. fool us twice, shame on me. dlh- retired. amir khan. atsch ivan calderon. -most feasible opponent.
1. Marquez 2. Pacquiao/Cotto winner 3. Mosley 4 & 5. Probably some up and comer with a name, or an old guy with a name.
Just because he's signed a five fight deal doesn't mean he'll actually follow through with it. I'm not convinced he'll fight any of the names we're hoping he does.
contractually he is bound and i am sure barring an organ transplant, pbf has to honor the fight. but these fights should be significant and not just a bunchof has beens or bums.
They can't stop him from retiring, it just means if he were to come back (again) he would still be bound to that contract. I'll be amazed if he has five more fights and if he does they certainly won't be against people who have a good chance of beating him.
Indeed, but his ego couldn't cope with losing. I'm convinced Mosley would KO him if they were to fight now.
agree on the mosley part. the thing which really pisses me off is why can't a pbf-cotto or pbf-mosley be made. pbf-jmm? :rofl what a joke.
