MANILA, Philippines The fate of conditioning coach Alex Ariza is in the hands of Manny Pacquiao and trainer Freddie Roach, the Filipino fighters adviser told the Bulletin Saturday. Thats between Manny and Freddie and Alex, said Canadian Mike Koncz from the US. Roach had told a pair of Manila-based scribes last week in This content is protected This content is protected Angeles This content is protected that Pacquiao can whip himself up into shape even without Ariza in This content is protected This content is protected camp This content is protected . Roach is preparing to head to Manila to kick off the eight-week buildup for Pacquiaos May 7 bout with Shane Mosley. Koncz said Roach also told him of the same thing but he politely declined to comment if Ariza will be brought in next month or be asked to stay in Los Angeles. Pacquiao will travel to Baguio in the second week of March for training camp. Ariza came into the scene in mid-2008 and is widely credited for Pacquiaos landmark wins over This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Hoya This content is protected , Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto. Roach, who has been calling the shots in Pacquiaos corner since 2001, said he will not even look for a replacement for Ariza. I know how to get him in shape and Manny knows how to get in shape, said Roach. Pacquiao could not be reached to comment as he is in Hong Kong with his family. :hi: http://www.mb.com.ph/articles/306443...f-ariza-or-out
I'd like to know just how much of a disruption Ariza actually is for these guys to think about getting rid of him. There's no smoke without fire, and with.... - Khan dropping him. - Rumours circulating of Chavez Jr wanting to do the same. - Another bust-up within Team Pac. ....maybe Ariza is the ******* that everyone keeps saying he is, and Khan was correct in parting ways with him.
Maybe they have had some of the **** that he gives them tested or maybe roach is setting him up to be the scapegoat in a ped scandal and they will play the ''as soon as he had doubts we let him go''. He is being done wrong I belive look
...this is seriously getting interesting. But I haven't seen anything about Roach actually coming outright and saying that. And I'm not shy about my opinion about Koncz (he looks like an exhausted child molester and I hate his ****ing guts.)
Not even the *******s have been able to explain why Pacquiao keeps Koncz in his camp. The story goes that Koncz has invited and instigated friction in camp, likely in the hopes of Pacquiao getting rid of Ariza. At the moment it seems as if Koncz has got that whole Pacquiao team by the balls. I wonder what Koncz has on Pacquiao that he still finds himself employed by him?:think .......... Changing a winning formula (plz no ped jokes) is always risky. Koncz never liked Ariza and that article and quote really doesn't say much. I really doubt there is any issue here.
Maybe they found out something and dont want to be associated with when the truth comes out. Hopefully Ariza gets fired and releases the truth out of anger
How many hanger ons does Manny have? A lot.As per their nature, Manny lets people hang around because he's too accomodating. A lot of Filipinos are. My wife's cousin is a stupid, useless ***** but we both let her house sit for us and crash on our couch because she wasn't exactly harming things by being a stupid, useless *****.
Had the article only been quoting Koncz, I'd say you were correct..... .....that article however has pertinent quotes coming from Roach as well. Something is going on in that camp.
Be real now......there are hangers on, and there are people like Koncs, who's been more than just a hanger on....... Koncz has made the news too many times to be considered a hanger on...... Is'nt Koncz title for Pacquiao, Manager?
bad move, ariza is good at what he does, if they fire him atleast hire another EDUCATED conditioning coach or if money really is an issue then hire just hire a nutritionist.
His official title is "Advisor". Some hanger ons get better promotions than others. Snaking your way into a better position doesn't make you any less of a leech.
There are tons of good ppl in sports science Ariza,. He isn't the only dude. He's one of tens of thousands just in Socal. Anyways, he must really have let all the media hype get to his head. Dude must be tripping.
