My nuthuggery and obssession has gone on for too long.. it's time to stop and reaqcuiant myself with reality.

Talent can only carry a man so far, and while I admit I was enamored by the mans natural ability.. he doesn't have that fighters mentality, to maximize his talent. He's content with just settling.

Pacquaio will tattoo Clottey unless his mother dies 2 weeks before the fight and he pulls a buster douglas.

Probably Clottey's psychology will stand in his way again but if ever there was a time for him to turn it around, it's this gigantic opportunity. Then again, I was really thinking his fight with Cotto would be his breakout party. Eh. Everybody's got faults and Clottey's one real fault is not being aggressive enough.

Clottey is a strong natural welter that can take solid shots. I do not see Pac steamrolling him, Pac will have to use his speed and feet to get in and out.

I dont know, wouldnt be surprised either way. Clottey has a touch chin and he may take 2 to give 1, that would still be trouble for Pac.

What do you think will happen if Clottey actually KOs Pac in a brutal way? (not saying he will OK)

Just a thought. What would be Pac's next move, and what would be Clottey's next move. Its going to be really interesting to see the results if that happens.

Pacquaio will not have to get in and out when Clottey stands there as a stationary target..

Even though he has good counterpunching ability he prefers being in a stationary shell then catching people in exchanges

This thread is the equivalent of me coming out and boldly stating that neither Barrera or Tapia can still win a world title. :think

While Clottey is an accurate, free-body puncher he does not possess great power. When Cotto's powershots caught Pacquaio clean and he didn't flinch that tells me Clottey cannot hurt this man except on accumulation punches, and in his history he has never shown that kind of activity level

I just don't see it happening.

If Clottey were to brutally KO Pacquaio there'd be a rematch and he'd have overnight glory and star power and celebrity. But like the Jets beating the Colts this week, we know it ain't gonna happen.

I agree with the OP. Clottey is too slow and a shelled up fighter. 10 rounds max...
