He can argue that he has a bigger fan base, which he very well may (than the pre-Oscar Floyd). I think his PPV record is higher than Floyd's was before the Oscar fight.

Yes, but not overwhelmingly high considering Morales and MAB's popularity as Mexican warriors. They contributed.

Didn't the Marquez fight outdue both of those fights though?

If so, given JMM's lack in popularity, Pac is a bonified star. Especially for the lighter weight classes.

True, and I am not saying he isn't. I am saying that he has had a longer PPV track record and I am not sure that his numbers are really comparable to PBF's. His highest PPV is far lower than Mayweather 2 highest. And I believe that his other PPV's besides JMM's are lower than Mayweather's lowest.

What were the Pacquiao's previous PPV #'s? I don't believe Mayweather has ever gone below 300K.

On top of this, he can't ask for more money than Mayweather is set to make in the rematch because Post DLH Mayweather did over a million buys combined as well right? And Pacquiao is asking for more than Post DLH Mayweather, not just pre DLH.

I'm not sure about the #'s of PBF, but I don't think they were anything above 400K before DLH. And then he fought Hatton, so its hard to tell what is what.

I am sure Pac doesn't expect to get 30, he is just fielding a bid to see if DLH bites. I think the fight would do huge, huge numbers.

Pac 1st PPVs are against Morales 3/19/05, PBF 1st against gatti 6/25/05. So Basically they started at the same time.

Pac's HBO PPVs against EM & MAB were averaging 350K. Pac's Break all records below welter with JMM at 400K. Pac has 2 low PPVs(Larios & Solis) around 200-250K but those are against an unknown & not for a World Championship. It's not produced by HBO, No countdown, No hype.

PBF PPVs are all produced by HBOs, most with Countdown shows. He tops 375K PPVs & low of 325K. He only hits big on his own with the Hatton fight. But that's because of hatton & because he already fought DLH which makes him known.

Without the DLH Factor, Pac definitely is the bigger Draw.

This Pac-DLH for sure will hit more than 2M but it needs some hyping 24/7 style. Mayweather Sr vs Roach in the corner will help. Emphasis on the Historical achievement for Pac & DLH's retirement will turn some heads.

Win or lose against DLH, Pac's next fight for sure will Draw More than 600K. The same as what happen to PBF PPV numbers after DLH.

As this was semi sensible, I will respond. Your numbers don't back up your assertions that Pacquiao is the bigger PPV draw.

Mayweather has 5 PPVs. None less than 325K. Even without DLH, he did nearly 1 mill in PPV buys. (You added an opinion that is not provable nor in my opinion accurate that Hatton was the reason for the huge numbers. Mayweather had something to do with it, as Hatton is not well known here in the states. Both fighters were draws here for different reasons). Pacquiao has PPV's in the 350K range, and one big one against JMM that was hugely hyped by HBO just like Mayweather vs Hatton. He also has a couple of smaller ones at 250K and less. So the numbers don't bear out that Pacquiao is the larger draw.

Perhaps Mayweather is only a bigger draw now because of the DLH fight. But the reason for him being a bigger draw isn't relevant. It just matters that he is.

    Are you playing Dumb???

PBF-Hatton hit Big because of DLH-PBF happened 1st.

I give you a scenario: Pac beat Diaz impressively, Then beat the winner of Casa-Campbell. Pac-DLH happened & makes 2M PPVs. Pac won a SD. then Pac fought Hatton. How much do you think that Pac-hatton PPV sales can make?????

Are you saying that Mayweather is only drawing more than Pacquiao right now because he fought De La Hoya?
