These fights would be very easy to promote on one ppv and could get a lot of buzz in my opinion.

    Cotto-Margarito...Cotto going for revenge etc.

Pacquiao-Williams...Most "deserving" to fight pacquiao after mayweather in the yes of boxing fans. But as for the casual public, Paul Williams would make for a great fight. 6'1 williams vs 5'6 pacquiao.

I think this ppv card would get 1.5+ million ppvs. If you make them into 2 seperate ppvs, I would guess Williams pacquiao would get 800,000 and Cotto-Margo would get 250,000 if that.

    Just my opinion. Thoughts?

It's a pure fantasy fight that will never happen in reality. Williams can't sell out his own hometown with Arreola on the same card. They will have to be lucky to surpass 700,000 PPV buys which is what the Clottey fight did.

Moreover, there's no way there will be enough money to add Cotto/Margo on the same card without charging $100 for the event which no one will even bother to buy.

Williams is way more well known to the public then Clottey. But of course you too stupid to know that. Williams has beaten way way far better fighters then Clottey has. Pacquiao vs Clottey did over 700k. <<If that could happen then why can't Pacquiao vs Williams do it ten times more of that ppv buys?????

how has this not generated any discussion but all these other ******ed threads have lol

Pacquiao vs Williams/Cotto vs Margariton PPV seems to me thinking about it logically, that it's the smartest thing $$$ wise for Top Rank to do and for HBO to do.

How many ppv buys do you think that card could get? I think it could get 1.5 million plus if promoted properly. Whereas, for example...Pacquiao vs Cotto does 500k if that in my opinion (pacquiao beat him too thoroughly for the mainstream public to give a ****). Pacquiao vs Margarito does 350k if that in my opinion.

But if you match up Pacquiao vs Williams ALONG WITH Cotto-Margo 2, you get a PPV the mainstream public could be convinced to buy in my opinion.

    Why not?

If it makes sense financially, which it would in my opinion, why wouldn't they?

Unless of course, Pacquiao/Roach think fighting Williams is too big of a risk. Which I don't believe, but maybe that's the case.

Lets be realistic, the only way Pacquiao will fight Williams if Roach demand Williams to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight of 143 pounds.

I thought Cotto wanted nothing to do with Margarito and thought he should be banned or something. What did he say about him exactly?

Why would Arum put both fights on one card when he could get more PPV buys doing it seperately?

One slugefest(Pacquiao-Williams) and one boxing fight that can end in a brutal tko(Cotto/Marg 2). Make it happen. Hopefully if it does both of my fighters will win (Pacquiao & Cotto)

    not at all dude

Cotto-Margarito wouldn't do 300k ppv at this point imo.

Add Cotto-Margarito to Pacquiao-Williams and they add 500k ppvs imo. Pacquiao-Williams goes from an interesting fight which mainstream public kinda sorta cares to very interesting card which the mainstream media and public would buy.
