+1, IMO the case was over before it started when pac refused to take test, and now it looks even worse because he saying he'll take it with a 14-day cut off date
Are you Pac fans really on board with this lawsuit? As boxing fans, shouldn't we be encouraging that they settle this dispute in the ring? Mayweather will certainly step up the accusations and **** talk if/once the fight is signed so Pacquiao will have to thicken his skin a little or else he is in deep trouble. Best way for Pac to deal with the accusations is to take the test, get in the ring and kick his ass. This non stop crying, lawsuit, etc isn't making him look good.
guys, this is abunch of legal red tape......The odds of them winning is still quite long... http://www.expertlaw.com/library/personal_injury/defamation.html#4 Why Commencing A Defamation Action Is Not Aways A Good Idea While people who are targeted by lies may well be angry enough to file a lawsuit, there are some very good reasons why actions for defamation may not be a good idea. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected In other words, the plaintiff in a defamation action may be required to expend a considerable amount of money to bring the action, may experience significant negative publicity which repeats the false accusations, and if unsuccessful in the litigation may cement into the public consciousness the belief that the defamatory accusations were true. While many plaintiffs will be able to successfully prosecute defamation actions, the possible downside should be considered when deciding whether or not such litigation should be attempted
Part of GBP's legal argument is actually "Pacquaio's Head Has Grown" :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl I love it!!
atsch:roll: imagine pac getting embarrassed in the ring by floyd ( which will happen) and losing his case also.. what will pac do next!?:blood
This clown sealed his own fate in this court case. When will people learn to shut there mouths. Schaefer declaration In a three-page declaration, Schaefer told the court that in late 2009 and early 2010, he and other GBP officers as well as Floyd Mayweather Jr. advisor, Al Hayman, engaged in negotiations for a proposed March 2010 bout between Mayweather and Pacquiao. The parties were in agreement on all major financial terms and drug testing was the only issue left on the table. The Mayweathers had severe concerns about the possibility that Pacquiao had been using illegal PEDs in connection with his more recent fights. These concerns arose from a number of factors, including the fact that it is highly unusual for a professional boxer to fight at heavier weights during his career and maintain the same level of power in his punches and ability to withstand hard punches from bigger opponents. Yet, as Pacquiao has moved up in weight by 40 pounds (itself an extraordinary feat) during his career, he has become more powerful and more impervious to blows by his opponents. For example, in prior fights against much smaller opponents such as Juan Manuel Marquez and Marco Antonio Barrera, Pacquiao was unable to score knock-outs and was at times stunned by their punches. Yet, in his recent fights against physically bigger and much more powerful fighters – like Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto – Pacquiao has scored devastating knockouts (or technical knockouts). In addition, he has survived devastating punches by his opponents with no apparent effect.
I dont really care who wins the court case but its a bit silly to presume that because Pacquaio has moved up the weights effectively that he is using PEDs. If that is the case then other boxers must have been using them too. Lets look at other boxers who have moved up the weights effectively: Henry Armstrong (3 weight champion at the same time at old school weights) Thomas Hearns (6 weights if you include his cruiser belt) Ray Leonard (5 weights) Roberto Duran (4 weights) Oscar De La Hoya (5 weights) Floyd Mayweather Jnr (5 weights) I know theres other points as well but this point is ****
Dude, PAC already sued Floyd, 2 other Mayweathers, Schaefer and Oscar. It's up for Floyd to beg PAC to drop the lawsuit in exchange of ...
