I thought Floyd would have a bit more success with the right hand, but other than that, pretty much as expected.

Tentative for good reason, that left of Pac's is dangerous.

My whole thing about people who complain about it being boring and all that is this: Mayweather is the one who was winning rounds and pulling ahead on the cards. It's not his job to take unnecessary risks in a fight where he is safely and easily out-boxing his opponent. That is the job of the fighter who is behind.

In this case, that would have been Manny Pacquiao, who was clearly not willing to take those risks and "go for broke."

I posted that Floyd would utilise the jab as it is not only a good offensive weapon , but it would serve as an excellent defensive tool due to it's ability to destroy the rhythm of Pacquaio.... Only to have that same irrelevant. "Floyd doesn't use the jab against southpaws" ("with good reason" added into the bargain) spiel fired back at me from a couple of Manny fanatics!!

I considered it best to not argue and simply agree to disagree.

You know, Manny Steward said it best right after Hatton got knocked out:

I agree 100% with your post. Floyd was beating him on the scorecards from the very first round on, there was no reason to go outside of his comfort zone and make himself susceptible to getting hit with anything of note, especially with him having a comfortable lead on the scorecards.

The blame of this fight being dull should fall solely on Pacman. He was supposed to be the aggressor, the faster handed fighter capable of throwing upwards of 75 punches per round, etc. He was supposed to be the bull against mayweather's matador style, and bring it from the opening bell.
