Pacquiao would have knocked out Salvador Sanchez at 126

Why am I wrong here? Now don't get me wrong Sanchez had an iron chin, but he was there to be hit. I saw Azumah Nelson tag him up a bit in their fight.

And Pacquiao would be a tougher fight than Nelson. He's bigger, more power, speed, stamina and more awkward.

Similar to how Nelson was able to land, Pacquiao would do it more often, land harder and keep the same intensity for the entire fight which Nelson was unable to do in their fight. He tired a little too much.

And in the end I think the ref or corner would be forced to stop the fight.

Sanchez counters Pac to death. This is NOT Barrera we're talking about here.

Agreed, Barrera didn't have the chin or stamina that Sanchez did. His jab didn't leave him open for lefts either like MAB. But Nelson wasn't as physical as Pacquiao either. Goes both ways.

Exactly:good. Nicely put X! Chavas's a level above Barrera in everything (especially chin) except maybe left hooks to the body. Pac never stopped Marquez either. No way he stops Chava. Chava is too savvy and tough for Pac. Over 12 UD for Chava. Over 15 Pac might get stopped.

I have to concur...Pac would have never knocked out, or even beaten Sanchez. There was a combined mobility, toughness, stamina, coolness under fire that Sanchez proved to have in abundance...and with a sneaky punch that he would have used to great effect, IMO, over the Pacman. Witness the destruction of Gomez...though I know that Bazooka and Pac didn't exactly fight alike. SS was trouble personified.

If Sanchez could go the entire fight without getting stunned or hurt then he would be the first of any fighter who accomplished that feat against Pacquiao from 122-140.

Marquez was dropped repeatably, but showed incredible heart to keep going.

My main question is how would Sanchez handle Pacquiao's aggression if he was bothered by Nelson's? A smaller less physical version of Pacquiao.

I believe that the Nelson fight was merely an "off night" for Sal...and had he lived, he would have remedied that situation in a rematch.

Chava had problems with guys taller and longer than him ex Patrick Ford. Pac doesn't fit that mode and comes straight in especially at feather.

And Pacquiao had trouble against guys who he couldn't just run right over.

The first fight against Morales showed that if he can weather the storm and hold your ground and keep to your gameplan you can outbox Pacquiao.

But that was Morales who at the time was a massive 130 pounder and naturally bigger than Pacquiao. Sanchez wouldn't have that luxury being normal sized 126 lber.
