Whitaker.... hard sell. Whitaker had better footwork and defense.

Also I was mentioning in the thread that got deleted, one of my favorite fighter growing up in NYC is Buddy McGirt. McGirt gave Pea all he can handle in their first meeting and McGirts nowhere near Pacquiao. Peas had his share of so so performances esp at WW. He got booed often enough you must have all forgot. Hes got great footwork but Pacquiao is at par believe that! Hes not this unbeatable force of nature that people are making him out to be. As a fact Meldrick was way more heralded than him when they started. Hes got great defense based on reflexes but hes not unhittable. Hes got some good matchups. I would have love to have seen him with a speedster like Camacho.

Manny has all the tools to beat him at WW IMHO. Hed be faster and stronger.

Pacquiao struggled walking down Cotto and he's gonna walk down Whitaker. Nobody walked down Whitaker. ANd he fought every style imagineable and MUCH better fighters then Pacquiao ever fought.

That is exactly what I'm talking about when I say Whitaker would probably clown Pacquiao. Pacquiao would land on him, most definitely, but he would eat an awful amount of punishment. Look at how Marquez's counterpunching troubled Pacquiao. Imagine how a guy like Sweet Pea who is on a whole different level in that category would exploit Pacquiao's counter opportunities.

He was basically mocking DLH, and that's not the DLH manny fought. That's the real one. Fast, powerful, and bloodthirsty.

 

What punishment are you talking about?? Pea wins by decisions by potshotting and a good jab. But hes never moved people down esp at WW. He loves to showboat and I bet if he did that against Pac, Pac wins by landing a bit more and aggression. And that guys pretty average speedwise go check YT.
