I rarely bring this up. Only when I'm pressed for time or don't feel like putting in the effort to get into the weeds. At the end of the day the 8 world titles is irrelevant, a belt is only worth the fighter you beat to win the title or defend the title against. And Pacquiao validated the worthiness of those titles.

Examine the CV of the Pac.

    -Sasakul
    -Ledwaba
    -Barrera
    -Marquez
    -Morales
    -Diaz
    -Hatton
    -Cotto
    -Margarito
    -Bradley
    -Thurman

In the spirt of fairness I will not include Mosley or De La Hoya on Pacquiao's CV. I do not list shot fighters on any fighter's CV. With that said, that's one hell of a CV. Those (with the exception of David Diaz) weren't worthless paper titles. Nary a paper title on Pacquiao's CV.

Margarito was shot and that catch weight fight at 154 for a title was a slap at boxing.

shot to pieces morales still managed to win a fight to pacquiao. People overrate pacman victories to morales by a lot. Prime morales (morales vs barrera I) would completely destroy pacquiao, not a single doubt about that.

The ugly little troll @chacal has the audacity to hate when Rigondeaux quit on his stool against Lomachenko?

Let's see if Rigondeaux comes back from the other kinda pressure that made him quit dinner.

Unbelievable career really. Especially considering his first 20 fights...which kind of pointed to him becoming a bit of a journeyman. I think he should be remembered better than mayweather....who wasted his own chance of real greatness by holding off too long in taking that pacman fight. Lets be honest pacman had suffered the marques tko 6 at that point and looked slightly underwhelming against bradley twice before mayweather agreed to take him on.

Say what you want about mayweathers greatness....but he had too much risk aversion in that career as opposed to pacmans. Mayweather was the smarter businessman....and possibly the better fighter but pacman should be remembered better.

My problem w/ Mayweather is that the dude is a fraud.
    • Ultra low T/E ratios
    • Privately contracted drug testing
    • Ducked VADA drug testing — by 2015 was the absolute gold standard
    • Ducked $5 million dollar dirty test penalty
    • Very late fight announcements (cycling, controlling when drug testing started)
    • Used illegal IV fluids in the Pacquiao fight
    • Cheated Marquez on the scales
    • Wouldn't let Maidana use his preferred gloves (ultimate ho move)
Berto and 0-0-0 MMA fighter who hadn't even had an amateur fight? Disgraceful. And he basically made Clenelo what he is today w/ the A-side garbage.

Agree to an extent. Obviously a great fighter but the best ever stuff...do me a favour. Too risk adverse for talk like that.

Still 100 percent think he was on something new for that pacman fight.... hardest i,ve ever seen him hitting remember they said he,d totally changed his training for that fight. Going back to chopping wood etc. To me it was a cover up for the power. You dont win every single fight then going and completely change your tried and tested formula for the biggest fight of your life.

You can also say that Floyd had those two horrible Maidana fights and Pac agreed to fight him after
