This seems to be severely overlooked around here. Here's my honest list of advantages Pacquiao has over Mayweather.

    • Pacquiao is faster. He has faster foot speed and hand speed. He's going to make Mayweather look slower than usual.
    • Pacquiao throws combinations. Castillo, Maidana, ODH, all gave Mayweather problems. Why? They throw combinations.
    • Pacquiao is an unorthodox puncher. Mayweather's defense is designed to give orthodox punchers hell.
    • Pacquiao has more power than Floyd. No explanation necessary.
    • Pacquiao has proven he can "seize the moment". He's elite, he won't become gun shy or anything to that effect.
    • Pacquiao has more experience. 17 more fights and has been in with a ton of elite fighters with different styles.
    Any more?

If they headbutt, he should knock Mayweather out.

Freddie Roach. I think having him in the corner is a huge advantage for Pacquiao. Great list though!

Pacquiao needs to put fear and doubt in Floyd's head early on.

I think pacquiao won't gas like Maidana did, although his last few fights he has been slowing down a bit near the end.

Despite his short reach, he uses his arms to their full extent giving him a somewhat deceptive range.

Also pac has an underrated sense of timing imo.

Finally the biggest one, imo is that even if floyd counters him all night, i don't think Pac will mentally quit.

Oh, and stamina. I think this is also huge. They both increase their work rate by around 10 punches in the latter half of the fight, but Pacquiao averages double from the beginning anyways, so I'd definitely give him the advantage. Plus, he fights at a much more intense, quick pace.

    So, yeah stamina too lol

YES ^ Exactly what Bradley said after his rematch, "His timing is impeccable." He couldn't get over how good Pacquiao's timing was. I do agree this is an underrated attribute of him. Definitely not as great as Mayweather's though, underrated nonetheless.

I disagree about being faster. He will not be able to beat PBF to the punch. PBF will get off first he has the better reflexes. Pac is faster with his combos but not when throwing one punch he's not.

Mayweather definitely has better quickness, which is what I believe you're referring too. However, in terms of foot speed, hand speed, single punch, combos, speed + power, etc... looking at whole aspects of speed, I'd give Pac the overall speed advantage for sure.

Not in one punch speed. PBF throws one punch faster with better accuracy than Pac does. Pac is faster with combos no question and foot speed. PBF's speed is more useful than Pac's give me a guy who can beat people to the punch getting off first over a guy who throws faster combos.

Figures you'd have nothing intelligent to say, even when I give Pacquiao props. :patsch
