I agree with you about 1 fast punch disrupting timing and rhythm . FMJ shoots out the lead right much like a very stiff jab and causes opponents a quick pause and reset . The thing is Pac has such fast feet and hands that I'm not sure FMJ will be able control him with just feints and shooting out 1 punch . I think FMJ will be very surprised at how quick Pac can pivot and fire off shots. Pac can make this a very difficult fight for FMJ if he utilizes his foot speed to create openings while attacking.
- I'd favor Pac's right hook over FMJ's check hook, at least on the early rounds. FMJ's left hook is a good weapon once the opponent is desperate to connect. Pac's right hook will be crucial to negate those lunging jabs and pivot movements of FMJ. - I'd also favor Pac's straight left over FMJ's straight right, although for a tiny bit only, and only because Pac's left can actually KD an opponent. FMJ's accuracy on his right however is unparalleled in the sport. - I'd also favor Pac's left lead over FMJ's jab. Again, as we saw in Pac-JMM IV, it can KD an opponent. - Foot speed is all Pac's. How he will work this to his advantage whilst creating angles and openings is one of the biggest things to watch out for in this fight.
Pacquiao is perfectly prepared for this fight, it just came a year or two too late. He's fought a great defensive fighter with great technical skills with same height, reach and dimensions of Floyd (Clottey), he's fought a great counter puncher in Marquez who is a master vs southpaws and Pac especially. He's fought a young, tough, fast, skillfull and extremely fit Tim Bradley and he's fought a really tall, long armed decent boxer in Algeri recently. Floyd on the other hand has fought two weak to average southpaws in recent years, that's an advantage for Pac.
Really good list man. Probably mentioned everything Pac has over FMJ... Right on with the speed thing. :good
You forgot he will have more crowd support, especially when he thows those 5 punch combinations that don't land, that will ooh and aah the crowd, only to deceive Lampley in his commentary and swear Pacquiao landed very last one of them.....huge advantage.
Lol you are demented. I would Love it for a few days, but after 6 years of seeing this ****, heck Im a boxing fan, but the main reason I joined here in 2010, because. Thought it was going to happen back then. The whole ***** cs Pac**** thing back then was new to me, now after 6 years of seeing the same hing, I'd like to see one side, even if it's my own atleast admit defeat or whatever, I'm not saying be totally silenced because it won't work out that way, but rsolution will be nice to see after, or the rematch... If it's close.
:good Fair post! But if JMM can do it than PBF can as well. Pac is a sucker for the right hand and over the course of 4 fights with JMM he never adjusted to it or took it away. PBF will find a home for his straight right hand, Pac is awkward but he's no Pea Whitaker or Pep on defense he will get hit by it.
the bold aren't true really. the thought is pac has more power but he really doesn't, he just throws everything with full intent while Floyd does that only a few times a round. and I don't have any idea what you mean by seizing the moment, when has Floyd EVER become "gun shy or anything to that affect" ?
What he meant was Manny won't become gun shy. Floyd's counters will make opponents more hesitant to throw, but Manny won't. He'll keep coming regardless.
