Fair? Would you consider it fair for all involved if Mosley avoided that big bully Pacquiao and the lure of draining himself for a huge payday to stay at 147 and fight Paul Williams instead? I would, but there's crickets chirping at the sound of that fight from Shane's camp.

Bottom line is, if Pac's team wants Mosley to dance for 10+ million, you're gonna see his ass do the Charleston on a flagpole as long as the check clears. It's as fair a deal as he's ever going to find in a sport that rarely gives you somethin' for nothin'- lose the weight, get the fattest check against a significantly smaller fighter. Or, fight a guy whose still a P4P fighter for significantly less, but without draining yourself. Nothing's unfair here because Pac doesn't owe Shane jack **** and Mosley's free to make whatever choice he wants to. Those are still better options than most fighters get the privelege to choose from.

    Here's a suggestion..

why don't they fight at a WW limit of 147 lbs but on fight night, mosley with weight not higher that 150 lbs since pac only weighs 148 lbs every fight..that would be fair and square!

I dont care about the weight issues, I care about Pac's advisers, he dont need those clowns. Those clowns are not just advising Pac but controlling him like a robot, he cannot decide for himself anymore. If he wants to be a good politician he need to fire those clowns so he will learn how to decide for himself.

You guys need to remember that Mosely jumped from 135 to 147 and bypassed 140 altogether....he has been much more disciplined with his body and staying shape between fights than Oscar and I think he can make 143 pounds without being totally weight drained like DLH was....remember, Oscar is almost 6'0 tall and took long layoffs where he didn't train. All I'm saying is that Mosely wanted this fight, he said he's willing to come down in weight, so stop making excuses for the guy. The guy who generates the money makes the rules as far as weight, gloves, ring size, etc....just the way it is. DLH has been doing it for years.

You ain't thinking straight. So Mosley who always been in good shape and came from 135 pounds to 147 pounds means he can make 143 pounds without a problem? Are you serious? Btw De la hoya is 5'10 while Mosley is 5'9. Oscar hasn't fought at 147 pounds before he fought Pacquiao in 7 or 8 years while Mosley hasn't fought way under 147 pounds in 10 FREAKING YEARS!!!! So how is it fair and should be no excuses if Pacquiao beats Mosley?

Basically for us fans, the catchweight is there so that whoever winner is, he will get props for winning. If the fight is at 147 and mosley wins, without a doubt it will be attributed to mosley being bigger, not better. Same goes for having the fight @140 and Pac wins, people will attribute it to mosley being weight drained.

Yes, mosley will probably not be in his best form if it's below 147, but he has to sacrifice that in order for the fight to be more competitive.

In a perfect world, all the mega fights would have fighters from the same weight class. But the truth is, Pac is a jWW while Mosley is a big WW. There's no way they could ever fight on a completely level playing field. So if the fight will be made, concessions will have to be made as well. It's not ideal, but it's the best we can hope for in this possible match up.

***** move if team Pacman still wants the fight but at a weight even lower than 144.

I haven't forgot that Pac weighed in at 145 for the DLH fight and had DLH weigh in at the WW limit.

Why don't you let Sugar Shane weigh in as the WW that he is and fight for a belt :hey

Pacquiao fought De la hoya at 147 pounds in which he destroyed De la hoya but to answer your question, not really cause Pacquiao is the smaller fighter but if you and the rest biased Pacquiao fans thinks Pacquiao is unstoppable then why Can't Mosley get the credit if he beats Pacquiao at 147 pounds? Same question for you, would you give Pacquiao credit by beating a weight drain zombie Mosley at 142 pounds?

Fight at 147, That's the tittle weight, same day weigh in just like the old days. That way theres no BS. There's a reason why same day weighin worked for years. Problem solved.

You want beat the bigger man, fight at that weight limit. Instead of trying to make him drain down to the point, that he's spent. And can't reup in only a day and a half.

BTW now that Ricky's gone, what money fights are there at 140 for Pac.

    $ prostitutes everything.

And Mosley will be the second fighter have to drain himself to make 142 pounds if that fight happens.

first of all, i'm not bias towards pac, and i don't think he's unstoppable. i give mosley an edge in this fight (if its at 144) and i think pbf will beat him at 140 and above. cotto and margo will also beat him at 147.

at what weight do you think they should fight if i may ask you?
