Hey with all this talk of him being an ATG where does he rank on the All-Time Puncher list?? He's climbed 8 divisions still knockin ppl silly, or just knocking them out. And these havnt been against weak chinned opponents.

    Where would you place him?

I think it has more to do with his speed and number of punches than his actual power. He has power at the higher weights but not big one punch power.

...And when you consider how many fully loaded power shots he's landing...It's no damn wonder he does these guys over this way. Not that I'm directly comparing but if you let Marquez or Barrera punch you with real leverage, flush in the face, the number of times Pacquiao punched Cotto or Margarito or ODLH...Their faces aren't going to look that good after that either. Including ODLH, who is extremely sexy when not facially brutalized. No homo. ...Ah, who am I kidding? I'd do that ***** even after he's been facially brutalized. No homo. And by "facially brutalized" I bet you know what I mean...Triple NO HOMO! Emoticons! :bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:hey:hey:hey

I think the fights against Margarito and Clottey show that his KO power hasn't quite carried up that far, against men who are basically old time middleweights, but he still has it in him to hurt them.

I view Pacquiao as more of an offensive force than a one punch KO artist, even though he did devastate Ricky Hatton. The problem with fighting him is that you're going to get hit a lot and you're going to get hit hard, it takes a real solid pro like Marquez to be able to deal with that and still keep to his own boxing style without slugging it out with him or just being overwhelmed. Eventually the punishment accumulates or he finds the perfect punch to put you out.

His power alone is not at the very top however, but he does rate highly as a puncher. Speed, power, accuracy (considering the volume of shots he throws), effectiveness really, it's all there.

pac really loaded up on some of those punches vs marg when pacquiao's back was against the ropes. the punches seemed to stun margarito wich we really havent seen happen too often, but they didnt seem to really hurt him.....he is not the greatest ww puncher.

In the top 75 billion, at a push.

He really isn't all that great as a puncher. Hearns, Jackson, Louis, Zarate, Saddler etc... now those were punchers. Not Pacquiao.

I maintain that he has the best straight left of all time.

But other than that, just okay. If he loaded up more on his shots like Louis I think he'd probably devastate people(hatton), but even with his flurrying style he can do damage.

Pacquiao dose a lot of things very well. However his punching power is overrated.
