Yeah I agree, If Manny does not get Floyd out of there in the first 4-5 rounds, he will be embaressed.

Mayweather doesn't run, he boxes. If he does get in trouble, he will be smart for sure.

Thats also what i have been thinking. His best chance is to catch PBF cold within the first 3 rounds. After 3 he virtually has no chance.
PBF will have done his ad******g and it will be over.

He doesn't necessarily have to get Floyd out cold. An early flash KD or two would help.

All you guys are actually saying the exact opposite of the point Bernstein was making. Did you even read the article? Bernstein is saying that it is Manny, not Floyd, that must survive the first 5 rounds. If Manny survives these early rounds without being hurt or dropped then then he's going to come on furiously in the second half of the fight. The point he is making is that Floyd must land some big punches on Pac early in the fight in order for Manny to respect him.

Most people who are agreeing didn't read the article. He's saying that if Floyd doesn't get catch Pac with a big right and get him out early then Pacquiao will win or make it a close, tough fight.

Which runs counter to the conventional wisdom that Floyd will adjust and take over late if Pac doesn't get him out early.

Anyone else think he's getting Mayweather and Pacquiao mixed up?

I agree with his analysis if you swap fighters.
