Do you consider it granite, solid, average, weak? Do you think it will let him down against a powerful welterweight like Cotto?
Solid.....but he can be KO'd that is for sure which is why he'll need to be on his "A" game with Miguel.
Cotto is a murderous puncher, and Pacquiaos chin and most of all body being untested at 147lbs waters, who knows? Cotto can have him stretched out, I believe so anyways.
at 135 he fought David Diaz, then jumped up to fight Weight drained Oscar, didnt get hit with nothing there, then moved back down to fight Hatton, he was not hit at all, hasnt tasted the power of any body who can really bang north of 130. I dont think his chin will fail him, I beleive the size factor will be exposed in this fight, I beleive the truth will come out regarding Pacquiao, great fighter, loads of heart, gives everything he has, but also has had a great match making team that built him up to where he is now. I think Pac could have and should have fought one solid welter before this fight, he is going to be shocked by the power difference.
Very good chin. Proof? Just watch his fights. Untested at 147? Definitely, I wouldn't be shocked if Cotto hurts him bad.
Above average, but not completely solid. Pac can be decked, however he does seem to have pretty good recuperative powers.
He took a solid right hand from Hatton if you remember - slightly (but only slightly) buzzed I'd say.
I thought he was a bit stunned by that. I seem to remember him trying to tie -up a bit after that. He was also stunned by Marquez. I think it's solid enough, but I don't think he can carry on taking shots from a welterweight like Cotto. I don't think he'll get knocked out cold from one-punch, but I think if Cotto lands a good left hook or right hand he can definately hurt him.
its solid but he hasnt been getting it checked lately because his movement and offense prevents people from catching him clean.
That will be Cotto's only chance...his outstanding commitment to going after the body. But I feel the speed and movement won't allow Miguel to do what he wants with regards to body work. Shane nullified that and I think PAC will as well. Speed will be the deciding factor or power and size will. Toss up fight on paper but I think PAC takes this one mid to late rounds.
