    Sup kid,
Hoping for a good fight next week~ I know you are, Pacquiaos going to be ready, that much I know, Margarito looks ready, Now its just a matter of one week.
Texas is where Manny exploded, when he fought and destroyed Marco Antonio Barrera.
he is fighting another Antonio, in Texas on the night of which 19 years ago we had one great big man fighting one great little man and the great big guy beat the great little guy in an all out war, are the stars perhaps lined up for us to see that kind of excitement on Nov 13 2010:think

    Time will tell.......

    Good luck to ya:good

    Man, seriously:

Diaz was an awful hand pick

Hatton had not only been destroyed by Mayweather but Lazcano also gave him a beating

Clottey was actually 6 when Pacquiao faced him and Cotto 3

Hatton was the "man" as long as you'd ignored all boxing for about 3 years.

Collazo beat him up at 140. Then Floyd destroyed him. Man, the minute Lazcano beat the crap out of him he should have called it a day

Man, bearing in mind we live in a world where you have probably 200'000 Asians who know nothing about boxing, flooding sites with crap about how great Manny is, I'm not sure you have grounds to complain.

Manny's a guy who's marginally better than Marquez, And that's a controversial claim as Marquez is probably better.

But like Tyson before, let's just marvel at boxings most popular brawler

I don't know, he's gaining weight and beating good boxers while doing it. Ok, it would be better without the catchweights, but that's like asking for extra icing on your cake.

He's a good fighter. I'm just tired of all the hype. When he takes some matchups that, actually, involve fighters that he does not have a tremendous speed and skill advantage over, and who are not on the downside of their careers, without C/W's and such, and not fighters in his own stable...I might actually become more of a fan. But, what I see right now, is a string of handpicked fighters, who Master Freddie knows can't keep up with Manny. It's become quite predictable at this point. Margarito is just another contestant on "The Manny Show". But, if Marg puts up a good fight, and creates some suspense, even if he loses, it would be good for the sport, IMO. Another Clottey ("BANG!, BANG!, BANG!") performance would not be a good look.

Hopefully this ***** BenjaminLinus, can look at the examples of the above posters who disagree with the "Illusion of Manny Pacquiao" threads. But What they do is disagree and explain why, in a solid response using their Boxing knowledge. I know it's a Novel concept for alot of these "Newbie" Posters who are not Boxing Fans, but just Obsessed with Pacquiao. When will these Pricks learn that Intelligent Debate and Boxing Knowledge is actually welcomed here in ESB.

Well said...But this has been said by many posters who have No harsh Feelings nor Ill Will about Manny Pacquiao...They're are just Hardcore Fans of the Sport. And haven't bought into the Hype and fully understands that his rise in status lately is all SMOKE N MIRRORS.
I give Pacquiao the Highest level of Credit of beating the **** out of Ricky Hatton, But I am still pissed about "Team Pacquiao" placing these ridiculous demands on Shane Mosley before deciding that his LEGITIMATE LINEAL TITLE was not worth the risk:-( and eventually fighting Cotto for his Paper title at a Catchweight:-(. If you're good enough to beat a man at 145lbs...then you should be good enough to beat that same man at 147lbs. Then Clottey and now Margarito. 24/7 has done a tremendous job of Selling/Hyping this fight..Showing Margarito's work ethic, training and conditioning. But the "Tijuana Tornado" still doesn't move like a "Tornado"...more like a mud slide. He's still slow, with No defense and takes a ton of Punches. This is just another fight to keep Pacquiao Winning and add to the "Created Legend".

And it's actually rather sad, that only "Hardcore Knowledgable" Boxing Fans know this:-(.

Hatton was 'the man' at 140 because he beat the man. That's how boxing used to work.

There are some problems with your 'facts'. Collazo did not 'beat him up at 140', the fight was for Collazo's title at 147. Mayweather fight was also at 147. And if you think Lazcano 'beat the crap out of' Hatton, you really didn't see that fight (amazing how many people comment on this fight when all they've seen is a youtube clip...) It was a one-sided domination for Hatton with about a 40 second period in the whole 12 rounds when Lazcano even looked vaguely competitive.

I'm assuming you mean 'no catchweights in title matches' for any of these guys, as they have all fought bouts at catchweights as does pretty much every boxer.

Doesn't make a lot of sense however as, aside from Mosley, the ones you named are all young guys with barely a handful of title fights to their names. Hardly shocking that Kirkland has not fought for any titles at catchweight in his one title fight to date...
