Juan Manuel Marquez: a short left hook David Diaz: that one knockdown that finally put Diaz to sleep came from a short left hook Ricky Hatton. 1st KD - right hook. 2nd KD - looked like a straight left, but Hatton already looked hurt before the punch because of the previous knockdown. the KO punch - it looked like a straight left to me before I watched the replay. It's more of a left hook. Miguel Cotto: 1st KD - Right hook. 2nd KD - Left hook Are these a result of Pacquiao using his straight left less often or his hooks have become more powerful than ever?
He KD JMM with a left. Shows you he's really developed his right hand, they been working on it since Morales fight. His got power in both hands.
No to nitpick, but, a southpaw doesn't throw left hooks, it is a left cross. Pac is knocking people down with both hands now because he's a much more complete fighter. His balance is superb, and really gets good leverage into that right hook now.
A southpaw can throw left hooks just like an orthodox fighter can throw right hooks. There's nothing mystical about hooking with the rear hand.
Was about to post the same. That 4th rd. left uppercut (though somewhat hook-hybridized) was a thing of beauty.
Maybe TKO'd by unanswered strikes, or he might just take a knee and take the 10 count, but i doubt pac could hit him with a hard enough shot to leave him senseless and unable to get back up. Even old DLH's chin is too granite for that.
