Yes it goes on his record, but who cares? Anyone with a boxing brain can see that the best boxers with the best legacies don't necessarily retire with less losses than other boxers, it's about see how good they were in their prime and what they've achieved, among other things. A lot of fighters got a streak of losses towards the end of their careers, and others retired before that could happen to avoid their record being dampened further.
Do Roy's countless (and embarrassing) losses count? If they did, he should be of any ATG lists and not sniff the HOF.
Yes they counted and they tarnished his legacy. If RJJ had retired after he beat Ruiz or Tarver in their first fight. He would arguably been a top 10 ATG but since he didn't he's now barely a top 30 ATG. RJJ sticking around too long hurt his legacy no doubt about it.
It’s a shame because during his peak years RJJ’s speed , power and athleticism would have be an issue for anybody in history.
HOF and pro boxing belts I think are 0 worth at all. If someone is in pro boxing, his glory, pride, honor, legacy and heritage is only ONE alone thing: PAYCHECK. Nothing more or lesser here. NADA.
When was Floyd's last serious fight ??? Probably May 2 2015. They had to sabotage Pac & allow Floyd to get away with Ped's abuse to allow him to barely scrape a win. He ran & danced like a drunken ballerina. Was a big black eye for boxing
OK then lets count Floyds losses the Vegas judges saved his butt on but the majority hought he really lost Castillo 1 Maidana 1 Ortiz Loss by DQ Judah Loss by DQ Pacquaio Should have been made a N/C & Floyd charged with Ped's abuse. Then that would be fair
Usual response LOL You cannot deny that would be a fair & honest assessment of Floyd's career can you ?? Pacquaio >>>>> Floyd & it aint even close
He won all those fights fair and square but you won’t accept it he did because it does not fit your hate Floyd agenda.
