What is the deal with soooo much bad comments to this? Commentators on where I was watching it, everyone here here etc. I saw someone say that Pacquiao was "exposed" etc. The way I saw the fight is this, Pacquiao looked great against stationary opponants or opponants who moves forward on him. The styles would clash as Pacquiao is there to be hit and his hand speed and power lays loads of shots into his opponants as they move forward. Mosley stepped back (he never did this Vs Mayweather as May is more patient). Pacquiao couldnt catch him too often as he stepped out alot and never threw too many punches to get caught. He was in there to survive and did the job well. Mosley apparently deserved the title shots and is regarded as a world class boxer, and imo Pacquiao beat him every single round, so, how can we think that this is such a downfall of Pacquiao? It is beyond me really. It was a boring fight, but it was more of a styles clash than a bad performance. This is the baby version of what Pacquiao and Mayweather would be like.

Really though, whats the deal with this?

Pac has set the bar so high that reactions like this are inevitable.

I thougt Pac won every single round in that fight on top of knocking Mosley down.

So I thought it was a great performance. There isn't another fighter in the world who could have beaten Mosley that convincingly.

Was it boring? sure. But excitement is a different thing.

PH|LLA - I love watching Manny but, barring the knockdown, do you think it was more impressive than Mayweather's victory? In that fight, he did what most people thought he wouldn't and went toe-to-toe.

yea I think it was more imressive than Mayweather's for sure. Mayweather got rocked in the 2nd round and then won the rest of the fight. Pac won every round from the beginning and knocked Mosley on his ass.

Mayweather going toe to toe with Mosley gets blown out of proportion. Pac actually landed more punches on Shane than Floyd did, and landed his power punches at a higher connect %. And he threw a lot more punches than Mayweather too.

Pac had Mosley scared, which I think although people expected Mosley to get tired, noone expected Pacquiao to intimidate him so easily.

Mosley Gave him a chance to fight toe to toe... he never gave Pac the same opportunity, infact he did everything to avoid it.

Imagine playing Soccer, and all 11 players from the other team is constantly inside the penalty area to defend. Would it make it a good match to watch?

mosley had no intention of winning the fight. i dont know why other than money mosley took the fight. its hard to look good when your opponent is running away.

Mayweather got rocked in a round he was winning and then came back in that same round to take it back in my opinion. They both beat him good but Mosley has had his ass beat before by Winky, and Forrest and those two both did a better job than Mayweather and Manny.

Pac has lost his killer instinct, that's my only problem with him lately. He won the fight very easily, great knockdown and all........but he is not fighting like the fighter we all know him for.

In that fight his nice guy came out too much. Hitting someones hand after you knock them down is ridiculous.

I'm not compairing it to Mayweather's fight. May's fight was obviously more exciting but I meant for the performances. Both did great against Mosley, and I believe the only issues was a styles clash.

He's the pfp #1 and failed to stop a shot fighter's movement and take him out of course I'm critical of him as a fan. Expectations are held so high for him so we expect to see god-like performances from him so when he gives sub-par performances like last week we give him lots of flack. We have been spoiled by him over the years but his team never should have cherrypicked a faded Mosley who looked awful in his last two fights. I would rather him face Berto(before Ortiz beat that ass) or Bradley than the senoir citizen he fought last week. Enough is enough, Manny's team needs to stop picking faded fighters or going to elderly homes to search for opponents.

Yeah I agree with that. I was disgusted at the choice of Mosley and actually expected a 1-3 round KO, and was dissappointed with what I got. But none the less, Mosley is a challenger and up there in the rankings, and with the exception of a referee mistake, Pacquiao took every round. That CAN'T be a bad performance, from anyone.

I wanted to see Berto try and get out of May and Pac's shadows and fight Pacquiao too (pre-Ortiz). It's unfortunate for him that Pacquiao and his team overlooked him and never gave him a chance and just went for the worst in the division. I would have liked to see Khan or Alvarez go after Mosley in efforts to further establish their names rather than the p4p #1.

Yeah, as I said, it's all the styles. Pac looked great against DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Marg etc., all because they kept coming forward at him giving him a chance to give them 4 punch combos, step out, go back in and giving him everything at his disposal.

The Mosley fight gives us one thing though, Mayweather would be fighting on the back foot too, so if Pacquiao got the lack of accuracy and frustration he got against Mosley, would he pay for it against Mayweather?
