No. He's just that size. He's been out of training for a couple of months, doing whatever he wants. The start of that whole idea was that Manny was eating 7000 calories a day or some such while in training camp. This is only surprising if you've never worked out a ton and seen how much you have to eat just to maintain muscle and energy.

I guarantee you he was eating perfectly normally, he's just a bigger guy now.
