LOL at you making a non-point supposedly at my expense.

Hatton was the lineal champ, and arguably the best at 140. He lost one fight against the P4P #1 at the time, it doesn't make him an insta-bum.

Cotto was the lineal champ who only won once in his career, in a fight many now find suspicious. He still beat Mosley and gave Clottey the only knockdown in his career. He was a very live opponent.

The others are arguable, and most people will agree that DLH was drained, but Oscar only has himself to blame for that. Clottey and Margarito have their faults, but they aren't former champions for nothing, and Clottey was the highest ranked available challenger at the time (Haiti hadn't put a stop to Berto/Mosley yet). Don't make it out like Pac fought no-name, no-talent bums just because you seem to have it out for him. They didn't have "impressive" wins? I wasn't aware the sport was chock full of talents that dominate in every win or that losing a fight makes you a bum forever. It seems like once they lose, they're out of consideration for being "good." What a world we live in.

Oscar didn't go the full 12 rounds. You can't say that for certain.

As for Pac's raw power, it's only really devastating at lower weight classes, but it's still dangerous at higher weights due to the accumulation. He doesn't really have one-punch KO power, but it's still good enough that opponents are forced to respect it.

Of course, you are obviously too interested in downplaying Pacquiao's opponents and accuse him of forcing his opponents to waste away as if to say "anyone" could have did what Pacquiao did to them those nights. Otherwise you could have easily made some real arguments about where Pacquiao's strength should reasonable be rated.

well, pac's power was enough to hurt and injure a solid-chinned 165-lb margo and to KD a 158-lb cotto. it has to be more than average even against big welters.

Visit the Wild Card Gym once and pay him whatever he wants and test his power yourself using your precious face.

PS. Record it and upload it on Youtube.

He doesn't hit as hard as Shane Mosley. That's for sure.

same case with marquez fighting floyd right? marquez was desperate for a payday, no? i have a question for you, if floyd didnt cheat the scales and weighed 144, would you think 'he would be drained more than what he could be' and lost to marquez? i bet you would say no because floyd's skill is 1mile away from marquez. btw, cotto usually weighs 146 in his other previous ww fights, he came 145 with pac. he 'drained' 1lb and suddenly he's not the same already? what more with floyd if he did follow the contract weight and cut 3lbs?

Pac's power is not over rated...the Guy keeled Margarito over with a body shot in the third round and visibly had him hurt....When was the last ****ing time you saw Margo hurt in the third round????? The guy's power is SICK....not over-rated.

In addition to stiff counter punches, Manny often uses his combos to set up one hard shot. When he is ripping off multi-punch combos, he certainly isn't throwing them all with really bad intentions, but they are hard enough that they need to be respected. Because the onslaught is rapid fire, his opponents usually resort to tucking in behind their guard. It is once the combo is completed that the opponent will relax for a split second and that's when Pac will fire off a final hard shot (like a left cross, or right hook) before disengaging. If his combo punches weren't that hard, fighter's wouldn't need to shell up as much. The problem is knowing what's incoming. Because he can fire off a hard lead left and bug out, or rattle off a 5, 6 punch combo at any time, I believe this creates more confusion and opportunities to stun his opponents.

Ultimately, why even bother with what "people claim?" Why not consider what fighter's that faced him have said regarding his power?

Pac pound for pound is the hardest puncher in the game, the thing is he's a small guy for the weight he's fighting at. He's not as heavy handed as a Shane Mosley. A lot of his 'power' comes from the angles and combinations he throws. The punches you don't see hurt you the most.

I didn't say they were too drained that they couldn't compete, I just say they're more drained than they would have been since that's an extra 2 pounds they have to lose
