I just watched the latest UFC event and from the event to the interviews after Pacman was mentioned like 3 or 4 times. I know once in between rounds of the BJ Penn fight. After Penn said how he was throwing combos like Pacquiao.

And then this quote from heavy weight Frank Mir

"I knew I had the capability of beating (Kongo) based on what I could do in sparring. It's just something I had to make sure crossed over. It's something we've been saying the whole training camp. We call it "The Pacquiao," because (Manny) will step off as a southpaw and throw the overhand left. As soon as I hit him I went to catch him with the uppercut and I didn't see him, he was on the ground. I charged him a little too aggressively, I should have passed and established the under hook. Instead he was able to rotate and get back to his knees for a takedown which could have been a major mistake on other opponents like Cain (Velasquez) or Shane Carwin. But instead he gave me his neck and I train with Robert Drysdale on a daily basis. If I get someone's neck in the heavyweight division, it's over with."

I know in the end this doesn't really mean a whole lot, but I know that Floyd is an all around more skilled boxer, but in the end the people seem to appreciate and connect with Manny so much more.

Manny is amazing to watch, he always give everything for the fans. I agree Mayweather is the more skilled but in the end Pacs style will get him more respect everywhere.

Mayweather's greater skill is such a given from everyone. Let's see what happens when they go head to head. Pac's skills have been serving him pretty well lately

The general public always likes KOs more they have less appreciation for defense and ring generalship mostly because they don't understand the sport enough.

yeah from a man himself saying HE DONT CARE about his fans in national tv.....you're right, people want to watch such fights.

He dont care if he put a good show and people who dont understand the sport is a way wrong answer.

Lol. Pretending to be a good guy? You mean a saint? Coz he's not pretending to be one.

I guess Pac should start being a dick like Floyd coz he cheated on his wife? GTFO.

Pac has universal respect, even Dana white is a big fan. Only guys that really hate on pac are select few floydettes butthurt their bf is not getting the attention.

Keep in mind these are UFC guys who often end up watching grappling matches. So I'm sure they can appreciate Floyd's skill, but I think they just connect with Pac's 'fighting sprit'. Even the top fighters in the league have to fight many times a year to even earn a fraction of what Pac or Mayweather earns. But they're still there for the love of the fight and I think they see that in Pacman.

Nah it's because people like blood sports, always have since the gladiator days. Although he had massive skill and speed, Mike Tyson will never be remembered for these attributes, he'll be remembered for knocking mother****ers the **** out. :yep
