Pacquiao's refusal to throw, it was because he knew he was ready to be knocked out after R1.

Those 2 big right hands from Mr.Floyd Mayweather, Jr shook him up something awful. His gameplan was already out the window by that time.

Had Pac fought a similar style as he did before, he would have been knocked cold by Floyd.

    Discuss.

Floyd wanted a Grand Rapids style street fight but Pac went into defensive mode from the get go.

No doubt in my mind that pac didn't have the nuts to throw embarrassment out the window after he got hit in the first round.

As dumb as it sounds, one of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard from a corner was John David Jackson telling kovalev to fight Hopkins like an old man.

And granted Floyd cherry picked so many fights at the end, that is what pac should have done against Floyd but after he got tagged, he didn't have the stones to do it.

pac man won, u can see it in the slow mo, the judges just cant see warp speed punches, why we give credit to judges these days is beyond me, the results shd be over turned at a later date with slow mo, that way betting and the night of fighting itself wouldnt be affected, but also poor juding would be eliminated

Pac definitely felt them shots and realised he couldn't just walk forward throwing shots and leaving himself open.

Roach and his team got it wrong completely. 1. They thought pac could just walk through Floyd's shots and 2. Roach thought Mayweather's legs wouldn't go past 6 rounds.

It's funny... Floyd was screamed at in his corner by his dad for fighting like a scared hoe and his family and Big Church squealed in fear whenever Pacquiao threw punches at Floyd...

    "Daaaaaaddy!!!"

Pacquiao didn't throw because he'd just get countered for it.

Yeah those two shots shook Pacquiao up. The realization hit him that he was in with a sharpshooter who would punish him for every mistake made.

Happens every time with Mayweather opponents. They all had a plan and it didn't take long for them to find out once in the ring it's all so different.

Once they throw, they know they'll miss and get some counters on their asses

Yeah after those two rights in the first you could tell Manny wasn't going to be able to get in on Floyd.

You mean why did Pac reach a career high in punches missed?

we all knew floyd was going to control the distance and pick him off with right hands (did not expect his jab to be used as much especially against a southpaw).

what took me completely by suprised is how pac did not come out during the middle or late rounds knowing he needed a knockout and go balls to the wall...
