Hatton isn't vulnerable to straight shots. At all - unless he is boxing like a prat like he did against Floyd. Which won't happen again.

However - hooks are the problem. Either checked hooks, or the snappy southpaw rights. He was put on his ass by Eamon Magee in the first round, then hurt badly in the second with the same punch.

If Manny gets the right hook operating well, without taking too much punishment in the process, he wins this one.

If he can't get the right hook going, I see Hatton winning.

    Man, that's not why.

It has to do with Manny's explosive, pinpoint punching, and agile movements.

Hatton can be hit with fast straight punches, and he will be.

And no, Hatton will not neutralize Manny's left hand. Manny's straight left will be tagging Hatton almost at will, and his roundhouse to the body is going to be what eventually tires Hatton out and wins the fight for Manny.

Hatton will probably quit on his stool.

Zimbabwe will send an aircraft to the moon before Hatton quits on his stool.

    What makes you say this?

Hatton generally comes in with his guard low, and his hands tend to drift further apart as the fight gets into the later rounds.

Pacquio is going to blast him with straight shots, mainly because of his speed, agility and aggression.

Pacquio is going to put a beating on Hatton, and that says a lot because Hatton is a very good fighter. He just doesn't have the tools to beat Pacquaio.

Loads of fighters have hit him with every straight shot in the book and barely put a dent in him.

Compare that to hooks throughout his career and you would agree.

Nothing against Hatton, but Manny has incredible speed and enough pop to deter Hatton.

Hatton might find some success in the beggining of the fight, but even that is questionable considering Pacqauio's stamina, ability to move out of the way quickly, and straight shots.

I think pac will have to rely on his right a whole lot especially becuase hatton likes to clinch. and you can bet the left is going to be clinched. its hattons constant clinching that has made most of his fights bloody. espcially with pacs head, you know theres gonna be a head butt and some one going to get blood in the eye. hatton is a bleeder, if pac focuses on bloodying hattons left eye with his right punch it will make the clinches go in his favor.

Hatton needs to work the stomach which hes good at, if only pac was taller. He might be able to strain pac, its what marquez did in there first meeting and pac smokes i heard, even with a really good workrate it can eventually catch up and slow you down in the later rounds where i think will play the biggest parts of the fight. I can see hatton using a straight jacket clinch alot just to avoid pacs short left cross to make it a inside fight.

im not to sure about what will happen on the ropes. pac has been pretty good on and off the ropes but hatton is good at cornering but seems to get rounded easily when near the ropes.

I dont think pacs backpedling will be much of a factor now that he learned that the ring isint a one way road. i can see him side stepping alot more especially with hattons bulldozer style, but hatton likes to push forward quickly and spontaneously and has a really god set of legs to do this which gave some good moments (and one really bad) against Mayweather. which can corrale pac into a corner for a beating since i dont think pac has the reflexs and timming of mayweather when it comes to foot work.

Pac's left hand is like a laser guided missile. Hatton wont be able to avoid it.
